"SHIT,"

The girl cussed as she rushed towards the stairs of the gymnasium. The event was supposed to start by 9:30 in the morning, and it was currently 9:45, she was 15 minutes late.

She had finished a paper with her block mates earlier this morning, lost track of time a bit and became stuck in traffic, leading to the situation currently. Her younger sister would kill her. She had promised the younger girl to be there to watch. The two siblings share a close bond, as the younger have always idolized the older. So, the former really wanted the latter to come to this special event.

Climbing up the stairs to the second floor, the girl struggled with her heels. She just hoped that the event wasn't that far along, especially since her sister was in the first section.

Upon reaching the second floor, she immediately opened the door leading inside. She let out a big breath as she tried to calm her breathing before entering the gymnasium. Once she was somehow settled, she took a step inside.

There were many people on the sides, watching as their children graduated from junior high school. The girl's eyes wandered throughout the place, looking for familiar people.

"Mahiru,"

She immediately turned to the source. In the far end of the sides was her cousin who was looking at her, signaling her to rush. The girl smiled and made her way to her family.

When she reached the area, she quickly smiled at her aunt, cousin, and older sister who was looking at her teasingly. She then swiftly moved right next to her grandmother and stood there. She looked down and saw the graduating students all seated on chairs lined up in the gymnasium.

Of course, she immediately spotted her younger sister. It was easy for them to be noticed because of her blonde hair that stands out from most people in the area with black hair. The girl smiled watching her younger sister focus on the event happening before her. She was proud of her sister for graduating.

"You're late." Her grandmother muttered in her ever so strict voice. The girl smiled sheepishly knowing how her grandmother is with time.

The younger girl looked at her grandmother who was yet to bat an eyelash as she was busy watching the event. "I'm sorry, Oba-san. I just had to finish my part on our paper in statistics." She quietly explained as she looked back at her little sister.

"How did it go then," Her grandmother asked again.

"Excellent. Since I'm the group leader, I had to manage everything overall. Kei's covering for me right now for revisions, but everything has been finished." She swiftly answered.

Her grandmother then turned to look at her, making her do the same. Her strict grandmother gave out a small unimpressed smile, making her smile back. "Good," she commented before looking back at the event. "Leading groups is good practice, just make sure you ace your paper." she added, heavily emphasizing the ace part of her statement.
