Chapter 9

"Okay today we all have to sit in a meeting for all the interns, residents, and attendings" she said

"Ooo this will be fun" Alex laughed

We all started laughing. We walked into the huge auditorium place down in the hospital. We all found seats. Cristina and I sat together. Everyone started coming and the whole place filled up. We kept talking.

"Quiet" we heard

I all looked at the stage and Catherine Avery was speaking

"So I asked you all today to look at this" she said pointing to a naked man who was covering himself.

"Don't be shy" she smiled

He let go and everyone gasped

"Wow" I said

"That is crazy" George said next to us

"Yeah I wouldn't wanna be him" Alex said

"I am definitely getting in on this" Cristina said

We all started watching. She kept telling us about the procedure that was going to go on. I started thinking about Derek. Where is he, he was supposed to be here. I forgot about it and kept looking at the procedure plan. She finally finished and we all left the room.

"So where's your boyfriend been" Cristina asked

"Honestly I have no idea" I said confused

We went to do our charts and I finished. I took my lunch break and Cristina, Alex, Izzie, and George joined me as well. I started eating and saw him. He was walking towards me. He bent down next to my ear.

"We need to talk" he whispered walking away

Why is he even talking to me in the first place. He kissed me at this party last night, I want him fired. He needs to be fired. I got up and found him standing against a wall by a patients room.

"Owen what" I said

"There was something wasn't there" he said putting his hand on my cheek

"Get your hand off of me" I said pushing it away

"Don't be a bitch Meredith" he spat

I couldn't help myself. I punched him across my face and his head turned far. He put his hand on his cheek and turned back to face me. He looked angry. I backed up.

"Is that how you wanna play" he said

I saw a arm from the side of me hit owen. He threw him against a wall and started beating him. Owen hit him back. He fell to the ground and sat there.

"Derek get off of him" I said trying to pull him away

He got off of him and turned to me

"What did he do to you" he said angrily

"He- he kissed me last night and I pushed him back" I said

He turned around and started punching Owen again.

"Derek please" I said tearing up

Mark and a couple interns came over. They took Derek and Owen was passed out on the floor. A bunch of nurses came over. They started checking Owen. I backed up and went to Derek. I watched Mark bring him into a patient room. I walked over there and walked in. Mark was cleaning his fists with alcohol wipes. He had a bloody nose.

"Hey Mer I'm sorry. A lot of stuff happened earlier and I didn't want him to hurt you. I know I lost control and I'm sorry for that" he said

"Mark can you give us a second" I said

He looked at Derek and Derek nodded.

"Yeah okay" mark said handing me the alcohol wipe

I held Dereks hand up and started cleaning his cuts.

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you. I thought it was an accident I guess but I didn't know he really meant it. Thank you for doing that" I smiled

"For knocking him out?" He smiled

"Yeah that was really hot" I said

"Was it?" He laughed

I started cleaning his nose.

"It was" I said leaning in

I kissed his lips. I backed up and kept cleaning his hand. He didn't need stitches. I wrapped his hand in wrap.

"I love you" he smiled

"I love you too" I said hugging him

He wrapped his hands around me and hugged me tightly. I backed away and someone barged into the door

"Derek do you want to explain this" Richard said angrily shutting the door

I handed Derek an ice pack and he put it over his knuckles

"He sexually assaulting her when she was drunk and now he's harassing her" he said

"Did he?" Richard asked me

"Yes" I said

"Okay then. Did you put your weight into it" richard asked Derek

"Yes sir" he said

"Thank you" Richard said

"Let me know anytime if that ever happens again. Dr. Hunt's going to be fired immediately" he said to me

"Thank you chief" I said

He hugged me and backed up. He left the room.
