I Am Ash

The Change

AN: Here's another original fanfic thought of by me and it's not a prompt. I'll start and work on the prompts I've been given, but I also want to work on some of my own original ideas. This one will be an Ash turns into a Pokemon fanfic. I don't know who I'll pair Ash up with but I'll think of something. So anyways, enjoy.😊

On a nice sunny day in the Kanto region, Ash and his Pokemon partner Pikachu were taking a stroll and enjoying the weather. Ash decided to spend some time in his home region before he sets out on his next adventure. Taking a deep breath, Ash let out a content sigh and said to his Pokemon friend riding on his shoulder, "Doesn't this feel great, Pikachu. We don't have to worry about gym battles, Team Rocket or anything. Just peace and quiet."

"Pika pika," Pikachu nodded in agreement.

Just then, a voice behind Ash said, "Excuse me young man, but are you Ash Ketchum by any chance?"

Ash stopped walking to look behind him and he and Pikachu saw a woman standing there. The woman was wearing a long purple dress and she had purple gloves on that went up to her biceps. The woman's hair was also purple colored and it reached down to her shoulders. Ash also saw that the woman had deep purple colored eyes and she wore a purple shade of lipstick.

Ash was curious about the woman in front of him and he said, "Yes, I'm Ash. Who are you?"

The woman chuckled and said, "My name isn't important right now. For now, I would like to battle you, if you don't mind."

Ash saw her take out a pokéball and the boy smiled and said, "All right, I accept your challenge."

Ash sent out Pikachu while the woman through her pokéball and out of it came a Murkrow. Once the two Pokemon were facing each other, Ash told Pikachu to use Thunder. The woman ordered Murkrow to dodge and use Quick Attack on Pikachu and the bird Pokemon did as it was ordered and it hit Pikachu. Ash then ordered Pikachu to use Iron Tail while the woman told Murkrow to use Peck.

Both Pikachu's Iron Tail and Murkrow's Peck clashed and battled with each other like two swords, but Pikachu prevailed and use its tail to knock the bird Pokemon back. The woman then ordered Murkrow to use Fly attack and it flew up to the air and started to dive back down to Pikachu. Ash then ordered Pikachu use Electroball and when the electric mouse released it, Murkrow dodged them while still diving down.

Pikachu released on more and it hit Murkrow giving it a nasty shock. The shock was so intense that it didn't have any more energy to battle and it fainted. Happy with the results, Ash smiled happily and Pikachu ran to him, jumped in his arms and Ash hugged his partner tightly. The woman called Murkrow back and said to it after it was back in its pokéball, "You did well. Get some rest."

The woman looked at Ash, smiled at him and said, "You must really love Pokemon, don't you Ash?"

Ash looked at her and said, "I do. I couldn't imagine a world without them. If anything bad were to happen to Pikachu, I would feel awful."

"Have you ever imagined being a Pokemon?" The woman asked.

Ash looked at her curiously and confused and he responded, "No, I haven't. But I can imagine it's difficult for them. Being around Pikachu and other Pokemon and trainers, it's not easy."

The woman smiled and said, "Well then, perhaps I can show you." And it was then that Ash heard her chant some strange words towards him.

Suddenly, Ash felt a deep pang in his heart that he let go of Pikachu to clutch his chest. He lowered himself to his knees as he clutched his chest in pain and he said while groaning, "What's happening to me?!"

Concerned for his friend Pikachu looked at him and said, "Pikapi!"

Suddenly, Ash started to change right before the woman's and Pikachu's eyes. Ash's hair started to turn yellow with a blue streak and two yellow ears began to pop out of his head that they made his hat fall off. A long yellow tail shaped like a lightning bolt popped out from behind Ash and his face began to shrink in a cat nose and mouth with blue lightning bolt shaped whiskers on each cheek.

Ash looked down at his hands and saw they were turning into yellow paws with black lightning bolt streaks and they tore through his gloves and shirt. His chest also grew black fur with a tufts of blue fur on it. Ash's legs also grew yellow fur with zigzagging black stripes on his thighs and his feet turned into paws with black fur. Ash's eyes also turned cat like and his brown irises turned blue and he began to shrink down to four inches.

It was then that Ash was panting heavily after the transformation as he looked up and saw the woman approach him. She smiled down at him evilly and she asked, "Was that painful?"

Ash opened his mouth to say something, but instead of saying human words, all that came out was, "Zar."

The woman laughed and said, "Shocked? You should be."

The woman reached down to touch Ash, but Pikachu got in the way and sparks began to crackle in his red cheeks. The woman chuckled and said, "Protecting him? Well, I don't see why not. You two were practically made for each other seeing as he's not who he is anymore."

Ash looked and saw the woman reach her hand down and tug at his torn clothes and rip them off his body. She then said, "You won't be needing these anymore, Ash Ketchum. I wish you well on your new life." And soon, she began to walk away from both Ash and Pikachu.

Ash then let out a loud, "ZAAAAR!" And he fainted in exhaustion from the transformation.

A little while later, Ash felt someone pushing him and someone saying, "Ash? Ash?! Ash! Please, get up!"

Letting out a groan, Ash slowly opened his eyes to see the fuzzy image of Pikachu standing before him. He then said, "Pikachu?"

As his vision cleared, Ash saw that it was Pikachu and he sat up with a groan while clutching his head. Pikachu then hugged his partner and said while rubbing his face in his chest, "Oh Ash! I'm so glad you're all right!"

Ash's eyes went wide when he heard Pikachu say that and he thought to himself, why is Pikachu talking? Why am I hearing him? He then looked at Pikachu and asked, "Pikachu, what's going on? Why can I hear you and what happened to that woman?"

Pikachu pulled away from him looked at him with his black eyes and Ash saw Pikachu's ears fold down sadly and said, "I think you should look and see for yourself."

Pikachu lead Ash to a pond and when Ash looked down into the water, he saw his face wasn't human anymore and he let out a shocked gasp. Ash knelt down to look closer and he said, "I'm a Pokemon?! Why?! How?!"

Pikachu placed a paw on his shoulder and said, "That woman chanted something in some weird language and she turned you into a Pokemon."

"But what kind am I? And how do I turn back into a human?" Ash asked desperately.

Pikachu looked down the path and he said, "Professor Oak's lab is now far from here. Why don't we go there and see if he knows."

Ash nodded thinking that that was a good idea and soon, using his new legs that'll get him some time to use, Ash and Pikachu ran down the path towards Pallet Town to see Professor Oak.
