How Can I Fall

"Boss, wala akong kinalaman dito." pagpupumiglas ng lalake. Napailing nalang ako. Stupid.

We were in a mission with my co-police officers. We were tasked to raid an illegal restaubar. We caught the owner and everyone inside.

I just find it stupid when others were defending themselves. They were telling things like, hindi nila alam, kasi daw matagal na daw 'yun nandoon. Akala nila legal. I rolled my eyes, annoyed to what they said. May pasugalan pa doon at may nagpapalitan ng pera at droga, ano sila bulag, o nagbubulag-bulagan?

"Where is he?" tanong sa'kin ni ate Louisa, kuya Cloud's wife. I shamefully led her to where her brother is. Sangkot ang kapatid niya sa raid.

"Ate, wala akong kasalanan. I swear." he defended, behind bars. I just furrowed my brows and rolled my eyes.

"Then why are you here, Arthur Dion?" ate Louisa said while her brows furrowed, disappointed.

"Wala nga akong kasalanan. I just happened to be there, drinking, when Frauline and her squad came in." he said. Oh, so kasalanan pa namin 'yun, kung bakit siya nakakulong?

"Wala kang ideya na illegal 'yung pinasok mong painuman?" ate asked in disbelief.

"Ate naman. I swear, wala talaga akong alam. Please, help me get out of here. I'm innocent." pagmamakaawa ni Dion. Napailing nalang si ate at tinalikuran na ito tsaka naglakad palayo sa kapatid niya, i followed her. She really looked so disappointed.

"Ate, we are working on it already. We are investigating everyone who was inside of the restaubar. Don't worry. You can go home now." i said to her, assuring her that we, the police team got this. Makakalaya din ang magaling niyang kapatid.

Ate Louisa obeyed me. I called kuya Cloud to fetch her in the police station where i'm working. Nagmamadali siguro si ate nang mabalitaang nakakulong ang bunsong kapatid kaya nakalimutang magpaalam kay kuya. Sumugod pa dito mag-isa. Tsk. I was so worried about her, because, man, she's pregnant. She's even in her 2nd trimester. Baka mapaano ang baby.

"Nasaan si ate?" Dion asked. Napaismid lang ako.

"She already left. I asked kuya Cloud to fetch her. Pinauwi ko na baka ma-stress pa dahil sayo. Kawawa 'yung baby." i said, making sure that he'd be guilty. And i succeeded. He looked so guilty.

"Paano ako makakalaya?" tanong niya, he bit the side of his lower lip. I just scoffed.

"Iti-test kayo kung positive ba kayong gumagamit ng drugs. Ichi-check na din namin 'yung cctv kung sino 'yung mga nagsusugal. If ever proven na wala kang ibang ginagawa, at kung talagang umiinom ka lang, then, you can go home. Pero bukas pa 'yun. Tulog ka muna dyan." i seriously told him and tap his shoulder, which made his brows furrowed and bit his inner cheek. I smirked, napailing nalang ako at bumalik na sa office.

Napatunayan ngang nag-iinom lang si Dion sa restaubar na illegal. Ang saya pa niya pagkalabas niya ng station. I even saw him kissing the hood of his car outside when ate Fight drove it over here the station to fetch him. Stupid spoiledbrat.
