One month has passed, after the battle and the reveal of the female titan. She reminds in a deep slumber. ________________________
(Y\N) stays silent, in her room. writing a letter to the fallen Scouts. In hopes of seeing them again, even though you knew they were long gone.
After writing you took a breath and re-read the letter out loud.
"Dear Fallen comrades.
You're always the first thought in the morning. I remember your faces in my dreams, it's sad but I somehow find comfort in them.
Ever since You guys left, Levi has been down, Armin always brings him tea when he has late nights. No need to worry about him. Me, Armin, Jean, Hanji, Erwin, Eren, Mikasa and the others try our best to keep him happy. Although he isn't the best at showing it, we know he pleased.
I and Jean have been hard work in training. Eren has also been working hard with Hanji (with experiments.) It is great seeing him learning about the Titans and his ability. I just want to say, thank you for being there.
Petra Ral, Keeping me company and helping me with other things. Overall being so polite to me.
Olu Bozado, thanks for telling me about Erens progress, and how you gained trust with him.
Eld Jinn, thank you for being so patient with me. Telling me more about Levis's standards and expectations.
Gunther Schultz, thank you for the laughs, it's always at random times. I can't help but smile at those memories.
I wish I could learn and see all of you at least one more time, all of us would do anything to get it.
You all did your duty, did it with your heart, rest peacefully.
With respect, (Y\N) (L\N)."
You softly folded the letter and put it up to your chest. Letting out a breath, you got out of your seat and walked towards your nightstand, sitting on your bed, Pulling on the bottom drawer on the mini table. Softly placing the note inside and gently closing it.
Getting up from the bed, walking to the door. "I'm going for a walk." You said to yourself.
Walking out the front door you gazed at the sky, realizing it was almost dark. Looking back at the ground and slowly walking around the perimeter of the castle-like headquarters.
Reflecting on what took place through the past months. It all felt so unreal. Your head couldn't accept the fact that a humungous amount of people lost their lives within a day, all because of Annie. You wanted it all to be a lie or even better, a dream.
Around the backside of the 'Scouts Headquarters'. You noticed pair of Scout boots standing in front of you. Looking up to see Jean.
"Hey, you alright? I haven't seen you in a few days. Well, Other than training." He asked.
"Not really," you said in a tired voice.
"Want to talk about it? It's fine if you don't want to."
"Yeah. some things are bothering me."
"Alright." He said.
Jean moved out of the way and calmly placed his forearm across your shoulders. After a few minutes, Jean started, "So, what seems to be bothering you?"
"I just never thought it would be Annie. I might sound crazy but, I want to try to understand her. I mean, She wouldn't do such a thing, I hope she can change."
Jean just stared at you in disbelief, "you do realize she's a murderer, right? You've seen what she did in 'Wall Sina' and the formation. Do you just forgive her without that thought?"
"Yes, well I'm not sure. I know she's a wanted person. But there's still a part of me that wants to try to fix our relationship. I just don't want to believe the truth."
Jean was silent.
"I know you think I'm a bad person to thinking of such a person, but we were friends. Well, known comrades if that's better wording for you. I just didn't know she was such a person that could sacrifice someone without thinking. Which is why I need to know, why was she hiding her ability all this time."
Jean just hummed in response, as he turned his gaze back to the walkway. ________________________
It was rest time. Even though you were exhausted, you couldn't sleep. You felt lost in emotions, that didn't want to come out.
You had a feeling that if Mikasa found out about your thoughts about Annie. All the hell will break loose "Better just confess." You said getting out of bed. ________________________
"Mikasa, it's (Y\N). Please open the door." You said in a fragile voice
The door opened, "Hey, you ok?"
You shook your head, "can't sleep."
"Come inside," Mikasa moved out of the doorway. You walked inside.
"(Y\N), so what's bothering you?"
(Y\N) locked eyes with Mikasa "I can't forgive Annie, after what she did. And you might hate me after I say this. But, I somehow have some hope of trying to understanding her. You have all the right to be angry at me. And I feel stupid not believing you that time. And it's gonna take a while for me to adapt to this new setting. Now that they're gone." You said.
" (Y\N), You need to realize that she killed countless lives but I don't hate you Just because you don't want to believe something true. "
"Huh, you're not mad?" You asked.
"A little, but you do need to remember, I've been there since we were kids. You can tell me anything and ill understand.”
"Thank you, I thought you would be mad."
"It's ok." Mikasa hugged you. "get some rest (Y\N)".

Morning ________________________
(Y\N) woke up in her bedroom, It was quiet. Rubbing your eyes softly.
"Work is work (Y\N)."
You said to yourself. Slowly got out of bed, walking to the door. Noticing a note, that looked like it was slid under the door. You Crouch down and picked up the note, opening it.
"I talked to Erwin Smith, to let you have one more mental day off. No need to thank me but, if you can, please meet me outside around lunch, by the bench at the front. There's something I'd like to show you, or in better words teach.
- Mikasa Akerman."
