Day 2, in cadet training. ODM discipline.

"LISTEN UP! IM ONlY GOING TO EXPLAIN THIS ONCE, you're GOING TO START TRAINING FOR USING THE ODM GEAR! YOU WILL USE THIS TO FIGHT AND REACH HIGH PLACES! YOU'LL HAVE ONE DAY UNTILL YOUR TEST. IF YOU CAN'T STAND IN THE AIR WITHOUT FALLING OVER, YOU ARE GOING HOME!!" Shadis yelled. You were nervous, In one day? I hope I can pull this off!

You were waiting for your turn. You were more nervous if you were gonna make a dunce out of yourself.
You were up. You took a deep breath you waited to hear a click singling you were hooked up. " whenever you're ready (Y\N).
You gave a nod. You keep your eyes tightly closed. You felt your feet leave the ground. After a minute you open your eyes, you were in the air. I-i did it! You felt so relieved. You then felt a pair of eyes on you, looked around. You met familiar ocean eyes connect with your own.
It's Armin.
You jolted back with the sudden connection. Quickly losing your balance, swaying back and forth.
"Shit!" You luckily balanced yourself out and sighed in relief. "Hey, can you put me down now?"

You were released from the ODM training. You heard a loud thud. You looked around to see who it was. It was Eren.
"EREN, WHAT ARE YOU DOING! GET UP NOW!" Shadis shouted. Poor guy. You thought, Eren had to get his balance together before tomorrow. Or he'll be done for.

It was one hour later. Shadis said to do self-defence. training, He let us pick our partners.
You watched as people started pairing up with others. You stood there, stranded you tried looking for Armin but he was nowhere to be found. You were turning around in defeat, only finding your Blond Blue-eyed friend standing a few feet in front of you. "Oh! H-h-hey, d-do you w-wanna train with me, (Y\N)?" He asked as a small blush formed on his cheeks. You smiled with joy and said, "Of course!"

"What do you know about combat? Armin?"
"Well, not much. I'm not much of a fighter.", Armin said with an unhappy tone. "Well I can help you, I don't know much. Perhaps, maybe you can read books about self-defence!"
"Good idea! Why didn't I think of that?" you watched as Armin's frown turned into a smile.

"Well, let's get to it, friend!"
You stood up, reaching a hand to him to help him get up.
You noticed the sky looked dark. But you shrugged it off as nothing.

"Ok, maybe try to bring your leg more back."
"Like this?"
"Good, just like that. Now, go! Don't hold back!"
You said to the blond.
"Ok, here I come!"
Armin sprinted towards you, quickly gaining speed.
You tried to get into position but, shit, he can run!
Luckily you blocked him fast enough.
"Ahh!" you never knew Armin could kick. The sudden hit made you stumble. Armin noticed you were in pain. "(Y\N)! Are you alright? I'm sorry! I-i knew shouldn't have gone that far!"
"No, no. I m fine. Just a bruise that's all. When did you learn to kick Armin?"
"I'm not sure." He said in a low tone "Well, keep it up! From the top!" You said with a determined smile.
"but what about your injuries?"
"Don't worry I'm ok, besides 'what doesn't kill ya makes ya stronger!" You said while patting the side you used to block his kick. He replied with a smile.

Rain forms small puddles with mud on the ground. Both of you just ignored it.
"You ready (Y\N)?"
"Yep! This time I won't be going easy on you Armin!
Without warnings, Armin. Ran faster than before. With a pure focus on his face. Suddenly he slipped on mud,  you lunged forward, in an attempt caching him. Armin grabbed your hand, only pulling you into the mud with him.

Everyone heard a loud thud, followed by a mud splash.
Everyone that heard it, turned their heads to see. Armin holding a plank over top of (Y\N) pinning her wrists to the ground with his hands. Almost Touching noses. Everyone had their eyes glued on the two.
Eren smirked. put his hands on the sides of his mouth, making him louder. "Oi, Armin! You ok?"
Armin, had his eyes closed since he felt himself falling.
Armin slowly opened one eye, he then immediately opened the other in fear and shock. (Y\N) was the same, wide-eyed in shock. Fuck, what do I say? was the only thought you had.

Both faces grew a deep crimson grew on their face. "T-a-take n-note, we sh-should wa-watch w-were were going," Armin said in a nervous tone."S-same here." You gave a nervous smile. Armin got off of you, and a hand getting up from the mud.
"S-sorry, ab-about t-that." He said while scratching his head."
"No. Don't worry it happens, It's o-ok." You gave him a reassuring smile. Both just walked away, as if nothing happened.
Everyone had their eyes on them, wondering if anyone else is confused as to what happened.

Due to the rain, everyone was excused
from training.

It was past supper time, you tried looking for Armin but nowhere to be found. You asked Mikasa, who was the only one around that you knew. "Mikasa, Wheres Armin?"
"He's with Eren, he said he's going to see if Riener and Bertolt can help Eren with his ODM gear.' "
"Oh, right I forgot about that. How Are you feeling about tomorrow?" You asked the Raven-haired girl.
"Just fine, if Erens fails I'm going to follow him, and quit."

"Mikasa? Are you sure? It isn't necessary."
"I meant what I said."
You gave her an uncomfortable smile.

"Eren Yeager. I hope you straightened yourself out. Thomas, Lift him." Shadis said.
You were nervous. You saw Eren's eyes. Field with anxiousness. So far, so good. He got into a balanced posture. Until he started swaying front and back.
Followed by a loud thud. Shades walked over while Eren begged for a second chance. "Thomas, switch belts with Eren."

Eren switch belts with Thomas. Eren did it with ease. Not one part of him looked like falling. It seems your gear was broken, it seems like you aren't worthless after all." and," The instructor said.
You sighed in relief.
The crowd gave Eren a cheer of applause.

Mikasa, Eren, Armin and (Y\N). All of them are on their way to becoming soldiers. Fighting for humanity.
