"Afte... Good afternoon ma." He greeted politely and he strode closer to them.

The woman picking beans in a tray looked up from the tray at the sound of his voice. She looked sincerely shocked to see him and she stared at him. Then she smiled. The first was still giving him a suspicious look. It felt like she was angry at him.

"Who do you want to see?" The woman who was picking beans asked with a smile.

"I am..." He was cut short by a loud shrieking sound. And they all turned around and saw the twins running toward him with the speed of lightning.

"Uncle Demmy." They wailed and they threw themselves on him. He almost lost his stance with the force that they used in throwing themselves on him, hugging his legs tightly.

His lips broke into a grin. "Oh, my God! Look at these pretty angels." He commented and he chuckled while they still embraced his legs.

"We miss you," Tife said looking up at his face.

"We miss your big house and big bed and all the snacks," Tito added, joyfully.

He can't help but laugh. He loves the girls. They have a way of making him smile without forcing it. They were a little version of their elder sister.

"I miss you too. And your smiles." He said as they pulled away. He squatted to their level and patted their cheeks while they grinned at him.

"How is Aunt Deborah?" Tito asked.

"She is at home and she is fine. She misses you guys too." He told them. "So how are you, girls?" He asked looking from one girl to the other.

"We are doing great." They answered at the same time.

"What about you Uncle Demmy?" Tito asked.

He smiled gratefully at her. "I'm okay. Thanks for asking. So why are you little princesses at home?"

"I wasn't feeling fine this morning." Tife was quick to respond.

"She had a running stomach. And Dad said we can both stay at home."

"Oh! Sorry. How is your stomach now Boluwatife?" He asked the shorter girl.

"Better." She answered shaking her head vehemently. "Sis Lola gave me a bitter medicine." He smiled.

"It's a relief that you are better now. So where is your big sis?"

"We don't know. She left the house some time ago."

"Okay." He nodded affirmatively. "Is your dad home?"

They both nodded and pointed to the top of the house.

"I need to talk with him. Let's go see your dad." They nodded. And they took a place at either side of him. holding his hands at both sides with lopsided grins on their faces.

It was when they were about to start walking that he noticed the woman he was talking to before the twins appeared. And they were still looking at them.

"Ejire, do you know this man?" The woman who had been staring at him suspiciously asked the girls.

"Yes. He is our big sister's friend." Tife replied the woman, excitedly.

They peered up at him and then nodded.

And the two girls practically dragged him up the stairs that lead to their apartment.

Lola climbed up the stairs to their apartment. She was pondering about the guest they had. She had seen a Nissan car parked outside their compound gate and people were talking and ogling at the car. Some ladies were even taking pictures in front of it. Which didn't surprise her because she knew most of the ladies in her street are that way. Finding things and people they will use in tooshing their image on their social media handles.
