The world we once knew changed the day the Angels decided to take matters into their own hands. Finally being fed up with God and not having the choice to guide and love their charges how they see fit, they revealed themselves to the world.
On what felt like the coldest winter day in Mono City, the sky suddenly opened up, resembling something close to The Rapture, blinding rays of light stopping every human in their tracks. What they all thought was the sun showing its beautiful face, were none other than the Angels descending to the world beneath them.
As they slowly reached the pavement of every street, the grass of every park, and parts of the seas around the globe, they walked up to their charges and the introductions began. Their glorious wings expanding to an inexplicable length, warm golden light beaming from behind them, every human was brought to tears from utter beauty.
It took time for the world to adjust, the government even tried to deem them as monsters or as threats to humanity. Of course, being Angels, they guided even men and women of the government to a more open-minded state of understanding. Everyone, almost everyone, has now become accustomed to the Angel's existence, living side by side in peace, Angels learning more about humans and humans learning everything about Angels.
Although most of the world seemed to be happy about this newfound way of life, naturally there were people who refused to accept it, there were people who wanted the unworldly beauty and strength the Angels had, and of course, most of these people were scientists. Still unable to grasp the reality that was, they spent years and years underground trying to manufacture a serum that could imitate the power and beauty of Angels. No matter how much the Angels tried to educate humans on the laws of the divine and the natural world, these non-believers fervently stayed in denial. Thus giving birth to the world's first superhuman inoculation.
In the city where the first injection takes place a small group of Angels finds their way into the life of a very special charge.
