unKnown chapter 4:

He slightly blushed, wondering if she'd finally confess. He dialed her number

*Buzz

Elaine picked up her phone and what Arlo heard next gave him exactly what he needed for his plan. 

"I...... I found the book unOrdinary in Seraphina's room! She is gonna be a superhero and die!!" Elaine started crying

Arlo told her simply "I'll take care of it"

Elaine smiled to herself as she said "Of course you will.... I have faith in you"

Arlo began thinking up a plan:

Authors note: The events of canon take place until a few days before Arlo fights John and reveals his ability.  If you're reading this you know what happens during this time period so there really is no need to have me repeat what you guys already know. Anyways back to your program

John POV: Late night talks with Mark were becoming the only part of the day he really enjoyed. The bullying was getting far worse without Seraphina and now with his phone broken and Mark having changed his schedule to have more classes with Evie. He'd call him a simp but truth be told John supported the two of them. Mark was a good friend, he listened to John and was an incredible sparring buddy. When pressed about what his ability actually was, Mark would simply say "We all have secrets John, I'm strong and that's all you need to know". Meanwhile Arlo was acting suprisingly kind and he was gonna hang out with him tomorrow, he invited Mark but he had to go help Evie with some sort of research project. Why were all of his friends smarter then him??

The only time that John felt concerned around Mark was when one day he left his phone on the counter and he saw a text from a man named Keon. This caused John to act paranoid but upon realizing New Bostin was a 3 hour flight, and Mark said he was from Old York, the likelyhood of them meeting was close to zero. Logical thinking was pretty cool thanks to Sera's help. Before Sera went dark, he revealed more and more of his past to her including his experiences with Keon. Her reassuring words meant the world. 

*48 hours later*

"If anyone finds out about what happened here today, I'll dethrone you" 

John growled this to Arlo who seemed to be having the worst day of his life. 

He needed to go home. He was grateful to be home alone but without Elaine or Doc these wounds were pretty serious. He knew Mark probably had something, one night he came back bleeding pretty badly in a ripped hoodie. Man looked like he was gonna crap his own pants.

He got a syringe out of his pocket and injected himself with some sort of healing vial. 

John took a leap of faith and texted Mark

J: Got beat up bad. Doc gone. Elaine is a b!tch. Need help.

J: Have anything?

a few painful minutes passed 

M: Check under the sink, there will be a box of soap. At the bottom of the box there should be a few vials of serum. DO NOT USE MORE THEN ONE. 

M: Seriously. You'll die. Also don't snitch-this isn't exactly legal to own. 

John wondered where on earth his friend ended up with illegal healing serums

But a few seconds later John passed out. 

He woke up and the first thing he saw was a white haired boy, and noticed he had no wounds. 

"Evie and I got done early so I rushed over here to make sure you were ok"
