"Fucking HELL!" screamed Ganymede. Above her, the sun shone in its full glory, baking the abandoned roads and the God-likes standing on them.

There was an ear wrenching thud and a blast.

A herd of elephants made a noise that sounded like a thousand trumpets going off. They flapped their large ears, shook their heads in agony and took off in the distance.

"That must've...hurt like hell. I thought surely they could...break the Dome." panted Callisto.

The little girl sighed heavily and limped over to the shop where Phobos was sitting.

Ganymede cursed again as she stared at the Dome. She walked over to it, her feet , her entire body burning because of the heat.

The stump where her hand had been burned the most. It felt like a million tiny fishes had hatched in there and were now swimming around, gnawing at every cell of her body.

She touched the Dome.

A buzz hit her. It was like dipping one's hand in ice. It sent a chill down her spine and she winced in pain.

The Dome didn't budge.

The elephants had failed. Ganymede had failed.

This fucking Dome...it was still intact, glowing and shining in the sun as brightly as ever.

"Man. I hate this sudden turn of events." she said.

"I do too." said Phobos. "Life really, really hates us huh."

"I wonder how Luna's doing inside all alone." said Callisto sadly.

Inside, Ganymede imagined the heroes trying to calm thousands of people down.

She imagined a very lonely Luna trying to hide, observing all heroes and taking notes.

She wondered if the rest of the citizens were enjoying their Life in the Dome or having hell.

She prayed it was the latter.

"This is shit." she sighed, walking over slowly to where Phobos and Callisto were sitting. "I have no clue how to deal with this giant hunk of glass. Fuck this. Is there anything in the shop you guys sitting at?"

The small shop in which Phobos and Callisto were sitting was empty.

Plastic chairs lay fallen and glass vending machines lay broken. It was evident that the place had been robbed while the citizens had fled toward the Dome.

"Yeah, there's still some canned stuff left," Phobos sighed as he stared at the broken vending machines. "I wish the Dome was as easy to break as these things."

"Is that even glass that the Domes are made up off? For sure, its no ordinary glass anyway. I get the chills every time I touch it." Ganymede said, frowning. She walked over to Callisto and ruffled her hair.

Little Callisto was still panting heavily.

Creating fifty elephants at once had taken a toll on her. She clutched her knees and gasped for breath. Her face was sweaty and as red as her hair.

"There there. You did good today kid. You did everything you could." Ganymede smiled as she wiped the kid's forehead with a new napkin she had pocketed from the mall.

"What do you think Luna's doing right now?" Callisto asked again, looking at Ganymede with those large, curious eyes of hers.

"Hmm," smirked Ganymede. "Pretty sure she's chugging down all the coke cans there are in there."
