Ch. 12 "Pain"

                                                       Bucky POV 

I walked down to the lower floors, where I met Stark and Steve, Nat and Fury were here, I see a man tied to a chair in the interrogation room, a little beat up, 

"That him?" I asked 

"Yeah," Tony said not sounding happy, 

"But he's not talking," Fury said 

Tony loosened his tie, 

"Maybe I can-" Tony began, 

"No, Barnes should go in," Fury said 

"What why?" Tony said not sounding happy, 

"Because you have a personal vendetta with this guy," Fury said 

"So?" Tony said 

"So We need someone to talk to him," Fury said 

"yeah, I don't think that is a good idea, I might snap his neck for smacking Spencer around," I said 

"Just talk to him," Fury said 

"Don't say I didn't warn you," I said walking out, 

I slammed the door, as I walked into the interrogation room, 

The guy looked at me, 

He smirked, 

"The winter soldier well this is a surprise," He said 

I just tried to keep my cool, 

"You really are a sight for sore eyes, now mind telling me where Spencer is, I seemed to have lost track of her, give her a little bit of leeway and she wonders off" he said darkly 

I balled up my fists, 

"Girl needs to be put in her place," He said 

I glared at the man, 

"You like beating on women?" I said locking the door, 

"How about how about I show you what I can do to people like you who don't know how to respect women," I said cracking my knuckles 

                                       Spencer POV 

I was in the main room of the avengers sitting at the island drinking some coffee, since I didn't want to sleep too anxious about everything, 

I had the laptop out as I typed, 

sipping on the coffee, 

"You know I'm pretty sure that is preventing you from sleeping," I hear from behind me, 

I spin around seeing Steve, 

"I uh.. know," I mumbled 

He sat down next to me, 

"What's keeping you up?" He asked 

"Nothing," I mumbled 

"Normally someone doesn't drink coffee late at night unless they are a workaholic or they don't want to sleep," He said chuckling 

"Is it that obvious?" I asked 

Steve nodded, 

I sighed, 

"It's just I don't know if me being here is good for anyone," I said 

"Believe me Spencer you are where you need to be," Steve said placing his hand on my shoulder which caused me to tense, 

"Sorry," He said 

"It's not you.." I mumbled 

"I know," He said 

I nodded 

"Spence," Tony said walking towards me, 

"Come on I need to ask you something," He said 

I nodded, 

"Thank you.." I whispered to Steve 

He nodded 

And with that we walked out
