I stood in the corner of the abandoned building. I looked through the mirror and watched my mom in progress of her work.

We were in Russia. I followed them here and I was told to stay out of the fight. My mother hiding me from most people due to my power.

I listened into the conversation. They were speaking russian. I was a little rusty but I could translate it just fine.

"This is not how I wanted the evening to go." said this guy who looked like a general. He spoke in russian. He was a slow speaker so I could translate easily.

"I know how you wanted this evening to go. Trust me this is better." My mother countered. I smiled at her voice.

"I'd like to know why they sent you carry out a carrier, a stained glass and other random items." He said. As he said this one of his thugs went over to my mother and leaned the chair backwards towards the hole behind her. She could have fallen 3 stories. My eyes widened but I still sat in the corner not moving or making a sound.

"I thought general Solohob was in charge of the export business." She said looking frightened. I silently giggled at such a good actress she was.

"Soholob? Your reputation is quit a progression. THE FAMOUS BLACK WIDOW. Nothing but a pretty face." He said say the words like venom was dripping off of his tongue.

"You really think I'm pretty?" She asks dropping the act of fright. One of the thugs went over to my mother. He grabbed her face in a way to keep her mouth open.

"We do not need the Lermontov to transfer the tanks. Tell him, well,..." He stopped talking and turned around. "You may have to write this down." He said suddenly in english. This surprised me. I didn't think he would know english.

I was about to come out and attack, when I heard ringing. I stopped in my tracks. The thug's phone was ringing. He answered and handed it to the russian general. He looked surprised and handed the phone to my mom.

"Are you kidding I'm working." She said. There was a pause. "I'm in the middle of an interrogation and this moron is giving me everything." He really was giving her everything.

"I don't give everything." He said in defense. I give him a weird look but not directly at him. I was still hidden.

"Look, you can't pull me out of this right now." She said. there was a pause and she looked ready to get out of this old rickety building.

The general took the phone but she kicked him and then head butted him. I watched in utter amazement as she took down all three of them.

I ran out of my hiding place and grabbed my mom's shoes for her she picked up the phone and I followed. She started talking but I didn't want to listen in, it was rude.

Suddenly she stopped and turned around. "Bozhe moi." She said quietly. She hung up the phone and looked at me.

"Mom? What's wrong?" I asked, confused. She started walking again but faster. I had to jog to keep up.

"Come on let's get you home. I have business to take care of." she said fast and emotionless.

"NO!" I yelled. "This is our week together you promised!"

"Not anymore. Delaney" She whispered.

I glared at the floor. This was supposed to be our week. The week she had off work.
