His chest tumbled beneath my hands as he laughed. "You know, there are easier ways to get me undressed."

My face burned as I clutched onto his shirt, my book too far out of reach to hold.

He let me hold onto his shirt until I calmed myself enough to let go.

I took a deep breath. It's okay. What would I do if this was a book? If this were a book, I'd have some quick witty line ready that would inevitably save me from embarrassment, but because this wasn't a book, and was instead my usually depressing life, the most I could think to do was quickly start walking back towards the kitchen and pretend nothing happened.

Oh how I wish to be reading right now, to escape from my sad reality where I can barely talk to a guy without making a fool of myself.

He followed behind me, not the least but phased by the fact that his shirt was now unbuttoned so low that I could see the toned muscle of his upper chest.

He ran his hand through his hair again, a couple loose strands falling in front of his face. His lips stretched into a lazy, sexy smile as he got ready to open his big mouth. "Don't even think about it!" I stop him before he can speak.

"I have no idea what you're talking about." He denies it but we both know what was about to come out of his mouth.

"I've read enough books to know you were about to make some comment about me checking you out. Now normally I'd play along but considering I just fell on you and ripped a button off your shirt, I think I've had enough embarrassment for one day." I didn't even look at him as I talked at the speed of light.

Someone grabbed onto my arm roughly before the bystander could reply. I jumped, spinning around to face the source.

The bystanders posture stiffened up, his chest puffing in some sort of territorial instinct as he stepped closer to me as if to protect me. I looked up at the giant who had a hold of my arm and then back down to the bystander, who tried his best to look intimidating, failing miserably when compared to the man of steel who stood before me. I'm sure the bystander would be intimidating to anyone else, especially someone who wasn't able to lift a car, because the idiot refuses to just buy a car jack so he doesn't have to hold up the car while he changes the tire. Show off. We get it, you're a big, mighty, muscle man now.

The bystander shot the guy a glare, as if that would somehow scare him. It was like watching a chihuahua try to fight a pitbull. "It's okay!" I intervened before the poor bystander's pride could be knocked down a few levels as my brother snapped him like a twig. In his defense, my brother could snap anyone like a twig if he was mad enough. It makes it a lot harder to steal his phone charger when I lose mine. I guess it's a good thing he loves me a little too much to decapitate me. "He's my brother."

The bystander backed off, almost looking released as he realized he wasn't going to have to stand up to the pitbull. I don't blame him. I wouldn't want to have to fight Klaus either. I've seen him in a fight, he's ruthless.

Klaus kept a tight grip on my arm, clearly having no intention of letting go. His charcoal eyes blazed, staring a hole into the wall, his jaw stiff as he pressed his tongue against his bottom teeth, a habit he'd been doing since we were children.

My younger brother, Sonny, stood slightly behind Klaus, a look of awe spread across his face. Sonny, unlike Klaus, was in perfect shape, not a thread on his outfit, which he had spent hours picking out, was out of place. Sonny pushed up his glasses, which had become crooked from trying to catch up to Klaus. "We might want to leave, like soon." Sonny urged, although from the tone of his voice I could tell he wanted to stay.
