"Well, you do know me, Reed." Demilade smiled.

"So how do you meet the damsel? Did you pay her?" He asked as a joke.

"That was the plan. I made a deal with her."

Fareed shot his eyes wide in astonishment. He moved closer to the end of the seat like something was burning him on it.

"Tell me it's a lie." He was obviously teasing Demilade. He didn't know that it was actually true. And that leaves him perplexed.

Demilade frowned. "Do I look like I am?"

And Fareed burst into laughter. While Demilade just watch him as he grew two horns.

"What's funny? Are you just hearing the word deal?"

Fareed answered by shaking his head, still laughing, and holding his chest.

"That's not what is funny Demmy. You are. Like seriously, you made a deal... A contract. A relationship contract with a woman. Geez!" He exclaimed stroking his beard. "That is fucking surprising Demilade. For real, I am impressed. Very in fact. You sure surprised me with that. What made you come up with such an idea?"

"All of you of course. You believed that I wasn't straight. So does my mother. She wanted me to have a wife. She was so determined. We argued about it all the time. She was even ready to give me one if I wasn't so stubborn. So to please her, I do what I have to do." He said, truthfully.

"By making a deal? A contract relationship?!"

"Yes. For her to be my girlfriend."

"Goshwow! That's damn great. I'm stunned right now. That's a perfect idea. You're a genius bro. A perfect solution to a perfect problem."

"Abeg stop hyping me joor. It's not even a deal anymore. I'm serious about her. And that is bygone." He told him looking serious.

"Demmy e shock me die. I no believe say you fit do da kain thing." He grinned. "Maybe I should also adopt that idea to take my mom off my back too."

"I don't think you can do that. You aren't a one-woman guy. You will probably turn it into a sex contract."

Fareed laughed. "Bro, you're right. You know me wella. So it is not a deal anymore?" He had stopped laughing. He had a serious expression on him.

"Yes. I sincerely like her. I love her. She means the world to me. She changes everything when she came into the picture. I have never wanted someone's present so much as I do with her. She makes me happy. Very happy. She is a big turnaround in my life. It feels so beautiful having someone to call your own and knowing that person loves you." Demilade answered his friend.

Fareed watched his friend's face with a smile plastered on his face. He could swear that ever since he met Demilade, he had not seen him talk about a woman like he was describing Lola at the moment.

It was obvious that Demilade loves the girl in question.

It reminded him of those days when they thought he was gay or incapable of loving a female. While they were in school, everyone has a girl. Everyone has a lady to talk about except Demilade. He was always non concern. No matter how much you laugh at him or mock him or tease him, he never seems to mind. And he happen to be the one who have the highest girls fans in school. But dude have principles. He have rules and a kind of invisible walls around him coupled with his pride and his arrogant attitude.

Seeing him and hearing him talk as he was doing at the moment was enough proves that he have a chance too. Maybe when he sees the right woman, he finally have the sense to settle down and be faithful to one woman. And be a real man like his sister usually says. Fareed thought.

"That's sweet. At least, something good comes out of the deal. My hot-headed friend found the one he wants and love. Someone have finally get to break your walls. And the pretty babe got to have a frack billionaire as a boyfriend. Isn't that a big jackpot?"

"Not jackpot, just... fate I guess."

"Thank to the stars for whatever that is." He grinned at his friend. "So bro, what are you waiting for? Go get your girl back. You shouldn't lose that diadem."

Demilade shrugged. "I'm a bit clueless on how right now. She isn't picking my calls and... this is like our first major fight. So I really do not know how to... pacify her I guess." He complained sincerely.

Fareed chuckled then he pinched the bridge of his nose. "I don't know what to say Demmy. You know that I am not really into this relationship stuff. But you just have to try. And also, you are the only one who understands your babe better than anyone. Just go with what your heart says. The answer is within you. That's what I can say."

Demilade nodded. "You're right about that. Thanks Reed."

"Don't mention." He waved it off. "Get your babe back. And just another piece of advice, you can buy her something expensive. Girls love them. Most, if not all." Demilade just nodded with a small smile. "And try to be a bit cold headed Demmy," He rolled his eyes to that. "and tell her we will love to see her again o. Wait, isn't Charles dad birthday on Sunday?"

"Yeah, that's true."

"That's gonna be a full house. You should bring her along."

"Let's hope she agrees to come." Demilade hoped.
