"Wow! This is so fracking amusing Demilade. So who is the lucky girl? Ehn?" He persuaded him to answer. This time Demilade was quiet he didn't say anything. "Shey you kon dey vex na. You don start. Abeg answer jare. Is it still that pretty babe that you brought to the club that time or someone else?"
"No, she is the one. And Lola is the name." He finally answered him.
"Yeah, I remember. Tiwalola. That cute babe with a contagious smile. Wey you take see that girl sef?"
"Does it matter?"
"Kinda. I would have asked her out if she wasn't your babe. So you are serious about this Lola babe."
"Do I look like I am not?" And Fareed laughed again.
"Oh boy! This is cool. If you and Bayo will be so serious about a woman like this, it means say I get hope be that." He chuckled. "So bro, wetin do you and your fine babe?"
"We argue about something that I hate talking about. And I sort of ignore her." He said truthfully, shrugging.
Fareed wasn't the kind that he always open up to about things like that. He was not the really serious type. But he just feels like opening up to him. There is literally no woman Fareed has something to do with that he doesn't tell him about. And sometimes, he could be very serious. Just that it was rare.
"Punishing your babe. Great." He exclaimed. "So how long?"
"Since on Sunday." Fareed smiled.
"Four days. That's a bit long." He pouted.
"Three days actually. I have been trying to call her since last night. But she isn't answering."
"Oh! But you're still stubborn as ever Demmy. You refuse to talk to your babe for three days. You can't blame her if she is doing the same." Fareed said, smirking. Demilade heaved a sigh. Fareed wasn't helping in the matter at all. Was his thought.
"But seriously bro, you are serious about this girl o. I still can't believe it." He suddenly voiced out like he still couldn't believe it. "I thought you will dispose her a week or two after that day at the club. But look at you, moping about a girl. You are holding your phone and you were distracted at the meeting today. All because of her."
"Why? What do you mean? It's not like this is the first time that I am dating someone."
"Well, It was pretty obvious. I just didn't want to burst your bubble. I knew something was up with you and that girl. Although, I didn't know what exactly. But you were different with her that day. I was there when you were dating that model bitch.... what's her name again... Angelina... Angela. Yeah, Angela. You were so different around that babe. The look, the PDA, and whatnot. You didn't have any of those with Lola that day. She was like a lady friend or something. She even had this sort of boundary around you."
Demilade chuckled. "Dude, when do you become a relationship counselor?" Demilade asked.
To say he was surprised that Fareed noticed all that was an understatement. He was clearly impressed that his unserious friend noticed that. Although, he had teased Lola countless times that day about being free and expressing her emotions but he didn't know that he saw all that.
"C'mon, I might not be the dating type but ain't stupid. I know things. I watch you guys. Bayo and Helen, Charles and Immaculate. And even Adam when he was dating that hoe." Demilade nodded saying nothing. "But Demmy, was she your friend or something? Because I know you so well that I am sure you won't go around asking a random woman out just to impress us. You don't do shit like that."
