Axes and Trees 🪓

They say that the ax
forgets, but the tree
remembers. Those that
attack forget their
harm.

But sadly, I don't see
any trees fighting back.

They fall like their leaves,
and I always thought
it was a weakness.

But then I come back
years later to see
the roots bloom after
the ax has long rusted away.

And I'm reminded
of what strength is.

The tree remembers,
because it still stands.
