DISCLAIMER SPIOLERS

Alexey Ivanov-Ivanov is a talented physician who cares about the well-being of his patients. Initially hesitant to use the Death Note, he becomes intoxicated with the notebook's power after taking the life of a dying patient and begins a campaign to fulfill the death wishes of people all over Europe.

C-Kira- C-Kira is noticeably different from other users of the Death Note in the series, as they only kill the elderly that wish to die. It is known that C-Kira made the trade for the Shinigami Eyes. It's also apparent that their will wasn't very strong, as after Near says (as L) that C-Kira is an "abominable murderer," C-Kira commits suicide. It can be assumed due to the many figures in their room which bear a resemblance to things like Japanese superheroes (primarily seen in Tokusatsu series) to magical girls that they are an "otaku."

Hikari Yagami-Hikari Yagami (夜神光, Yagami Hikari, reading unverified) is the child of Light Yagami introduced in Death Note: Light Up the NEW World. Conceived in secrecy, the child was intended to take over the mantle of Kira after Light's death.

Very little is known about Hikari and very few people even knew of his existence. It is known from Ryuk that the boy was easily corrupted by the power of the Death Note and became mentally unstable. This caused Hikari to become a merciless killer despite his young age. It is also known that he was not on good terms with his foster father, Teru Mikami, and was eventually betrayed and killed by Mikami.

The novelization of the film goes further into detail about Hikari's personality, revealing him to be an abusive, threatening individual who went as far as to treat Mikami as a slave.

Jack Neylon-It is indicated that Neylon is a drug addict; Rod Ross refers to this when Neylon first sees the monstrous Shinigami Sidoh and panics. Ross asks Neylon if he has been "smoking too much crack," as Sidoh is invisible to the other mafiosi until they touch th e Death Note themselves.

Kenichi Mikuriya-Mikuriya is an anti-Kira judge who targets outspoken Kira supporters. A stern, short-tempered man, he looks down on those who advocate for Kira.

Kiyomi Takada-Kiyomi is an intelligent and graceful young woman. As a student at To-Oh University, she gains a reputation as "Miss To-Oh" ("Miss Todai" in the Japanese version), and "Refined Takada" ("Seiso Takada" in the Japanese version, which means something similar to "plays hard to get"). She is also seen as a very prideful person who loves to be the center of most or all attention.

Believing in Kira's ideals, Kiyomi becomes Kira's spokeswoman for News 6 on the station NHN. Her beauty and poise make her very popular with viewers, who treat her as if she were a goddess. Kiyomi, rather proud of herself, believes that Misa Amane is undeserving of Light, which leads to a sort of rivalry between the two women.

Kyosuke Higuchi-Higuchi is eventually revealed to be the "Yotsuba Kira" (the third Kira overall following Light Yagami and Misa Amane). He receives the Death Note from Rem, who was instructed by Light to give it to a "greedy," "forceful," and "selfish" individual who would use the Death Note to attain a higher status in society.

When he receives the Death Note, he is instructed by Rem to carry out routine killings of criminals, then do whatever he pleases with the notebook outside of the killings. He then meets weekly with the rest of the Yotsuba Group to discuss the killing of key individuals from competing companies to maintain dominance in the business industry. While the other members of the group realize that one of them is Kira, they do not know it is Higuchi. During L's probe on the group, Higuchi kills Hatori after he produced a "careless outburst."

Rem aids in the capture of Higuchi by using a piece of his Death Note to allow Misa to see Rem. Through this, Misa reveals to Higuchi her admiration of Kira and uses her status as the Second Kira to manipulate him into revealing his identity as Kira to her. She records the encounter and shares the tape with the Japanese Task Force.

Higuchi is betrayed by his fellow Yotsuba Group members who are uneasy with the escalating numbers of deaths. As part of the Task Force's plan to reveal Higuchi as Kira, they stage an operation that involves Matsuda appearing on Sakura TV. This leads to Higuchi acquiring the Shinigami Eyes, and he uses them to evade the police for a short time on his way to Sakura TV, hoping to kill Matsuda and keep his identity a secret. He is eventually thwarted by a masked police blockade set up by Aizawa, an ex-member of the Task Force, much to the surprise of L, who had asked the police not to get involved in the arrest.Higuchi attempts to commit suicide so he won't get caught, but Watari, from an airborne helicopter, uses his expert marksmanship to shoot the gun out of Higuchi's hand. He then reveals to everyone the existence of Death Notes, which is confirmed by Soichiro Yagami's and L's abilities to see Rem after touching the notebook. Light also touches the Death Note while inspecting it, thereby regaining his memories of being the real Kira. Light then uses a Death Note scrap hidden in hi s watch to kill Higuchi.

L- The "L" that L uses to represent himselfL is quite secretive, and only communicates with the world through his assistant, Watari. He never shows his face to the world in person, instead representing himself with a capital letter L drawn in "Old English MT" or "Cloister Black" typeface. It is more likely to be "Cloister Black" as Watari's "W" is different in "Old English MT."

After meeting the Japanese Task Force, he requests that the task force refer to him as "Ryuzaki" as an additional safety measure. The Task Force never learns his true name, and it is revealed in neither the manga nor anime.

L is very intelligent, though his disheveled and languid appearance masks his great powers of deduction and many question his abilities upon viewing him. L tends to second-guess everything he is presented with, and is extremely meticulous and analytical. He is good at deceiving his opponents, and is willing to take drastic measures to solve a case. Some of his tactics are quite bold, such as having death row inmate Lind L. Tailor pose as himself on live TV in order to draw out Kira, while others seem bizarre to those involved, such as handcuffing himself to suspected-Kira, Light Yagami. He is also shown to have a dry sense of humor, and he isn't above making sarcastic remarks to people. Although he tends to be polite, to some (such as Task Force member Shuichi Aizawa), L can seem condescending at times.

Using subterfuge, misinformation, disinformation, and an analytical knowledge of human nature to help lure a suspected murderer into a false sense of security and possibly make him carelessly over-confident, L sometimes gets what he wants through abnormal or possibly criminal channels. Whenever L gives percentages to indicate how much he suspects a person of committing a crime, such as "five percent," he may in fact be over ninety percent convinced of their culpability. Although L tells Light that he is among the least likely suspects with one of the lowest percentages of probability, in reality L is "pretty certain" that Light is Kira. As series writer Tsugumi Ohba said laughing, making light of L's tactics: "The truth is, he's a liar."
He also has several quirks, such as preferring to crouch rather than sit, eating only sweet foods (like desserts, candies and fruits) and holding items by using only a thumb and a finger. He also has an unusual way of sitting, with both of his feet on the chair. He claims that if he sits normally, his reasoning ability would drop 40%. Interestingly, in the manga, he is seen sitting on the floor in a pose similar to how one would meditate, while thinking deeply about the Kira case. He is often seen arranging objects and very intently stacking, or in other ways playing with, his staple food items. L is almost always encountered while performing actions that are considered inappropriate or rude in public. These actions/habits include biting fingernails, placing feet on furniture, slouching, chewing with an open mouth, talking with his mouth full, and calling out personal observations that may offend others.

With his status as the world's greatest detective, he, like Light, has a very sensitive pride, being afraid to be wrong in his deductions and theories, evident through his drastic measures (torturing Misa and confining Light during an unnecessarily lengthy amount of time), and lethargic behavior during the beginning of the Yotsuba arc.

Although he is often seen sitting and inactive, L retains a high athletic ability. L stayed in England for five years, and during that time he was the tennis champion in the England Junior Cup. He also has a knack for martial arts, which is demonstrated in his brief fight with Light. In chapter 38 of the manga, L suggests that even though he eats only sweet foods, he remains underweight because the brain uses the most calories of any organ in the body.

When asked about L's ethnicity, creator of the series Tsugumi Ohba responded, "I think of him as a quarter Japanese, a quarter English, a quarter Russian, a quarter French or Italian, like that." Ohba said that L is the most intelligent character in the entire Death Note series because "the plot requires it." He added that he personally views L as "slightly evil."
