Friday, 5th February 2021.
It was a long week of university for Kelsey and she was exhausted.
Turns out living by herself wasn't all the rainbows and butterflies she was expecting it to be, she enjoyed the freedom and the calm, but she hated the amount of responsibilities she had and it was all her.
Kelsey wasn't one to have a lot of friends and it wasn't different now, her one close friend being Olivia, but she lived with her boyfriend thirty minutes away from her and with both their obligations, it was not easy to see each other.
On top of all that, she still needed to get ready for another one of her responsibilities, her internship. Instead of following the route most people would expect of a high fashion job she could get with the help of her mother, she went for an easier and safer option for a first job.

When her godfather came to try and convince her it didn't take long for her to take the opportunity, she didn't know a lot of people in there, almost no one, but she knew if they worked for Christian they should be nice people.
So, she was starting next monday and the nerves had been kicking in for quite a while now. Specially when she's alone and bored, exactly like she was at the moment.
She knew there were people her age a door away, she had seen Juri two other times, normally arriving while she left or vice versa. They never carried a long conversation but they both kept cordially chatting before one of the two had to leave, so he was an option for being her friend, of course, if you took the fact she was shy and would never actually invite him for something out of the equation.
Except Juri had other ideas.
- Should we invite the new neighbour? - Juri asked looking at Liam and Marcel who both shrugged
- The one Liam killed the cockroach? - Marcel asked furrowing his eyebrows
- Oh, yeah, she seemed nice - Liam said and both boys raised an eyebrow at him - I said she was pretty, so did you, the only difference is that I'm single but I have no intention on making a move, so stop it.
- Fine, but let's see if she wants to go and grab food - Juri said leaving Liam's apartment and going downstairs towards his neighbours door
Kelsey was staring at her phone with the uber eats opened for about fifteen minutes being unable to decide on what she should eat and even asking her brother to choose for her, although she still hadn't gotten an answer when the door opened making her groan while opening it
- Yes? - She asked looking confused at the two boys she vaguely knew and a complete new one
- Are you busy? - Liam asked trying to look behind her and inside her apartment, his curiosity being too much
- If attempting to choose food is busy, then yes. - She chuckled lightly
- Perfect - Marcel said and she looked confused at him - Oh, by the way I'm Marcel.
- Nice to meet you, I'm Kelsey - She smiled back laughing
- We're going to get food and we thought of inviting you, down to come? - Juri asked and she thought for a second realising that was the perfect opportunity to at least try to make some friends in the new city
- Sure, let me just put jeans on and grab a coat, don't want to freeze - She said before disappearing inside - You can come in if you want - She screamed closing the door to her room and the three boys stepped inside looking around
- This looks amazing - Marcel said pointing at a sketch of a possible paint she was doing soon
- Let's go? - She said returning to the living room and seeing all three boys get scared
- Do you have anything in mind? - Liam asked holding the elevator door for her to get in
- I moved not even a week ago, I know nothing around here - She answered to the blonde who nodded
- I thought you were British - Juri asked - The accent is pretty on point.
- Born here, raised for a few years but I moved around a lot and never lived in this city before - She explained while they went towards Liam's bmw
- What about McDonalds? - Marcel asked wishing for Nuggets and the smaller brunette opened a smile
- For Kelsey's face that's what we're eating today - Juri said - Don't tell our trainers.
- My mouth is shut - Marcel asked while they blasted Drake through the speakers of the car.
All Kelsey could hope for was that she had indeed made some friends, the risk of going out with them and getting out of her comfort zone she had already taken, she just hoped it would pay off.
