"Y/n!"

"W-what?" you grumble, confused as you struggle to open your eyes from your deep sleep.

"Y/n! Wake up...I'm in trouble. Oh God, I'm in so much trouble!"

It takes you a moment to knock the sleep from your mind. But an incessant, alarmed voice from your bedside startles you and you bolt upright.

"Viv? What's wrong?" you ask as you turn in your bed to find your friend absolutely panicked with tears in her eyes.

"He's gone," she whispers.

"Who's gone?" you yawn, rubbing your eyes as you lean over and click on your bedside lamp.

"Tony Stark...h-he...he's gone!"

You groan, and fall backwards in your bed, bringing a hand to your forehead. Of course this has something to do with Tony.

"Explain," you say, already feeling a headache bubbling at the edges of your temples.

"He's gone, Y/n. Like, not in his room. Not on the floor. I can't find him anywhere!"

You prop yourself up on your elbows to look at Vivian.

"So why are you waking me up, Viv? He can't go far tethered to that IV," you scoff. "He's probably raiding the fridges in the storage room. He hasn't eaten in like, two days. And the man likes a pudding cup."

"No, you don't understand," Vivian says, grabbing your arm and pulling you from bed. "He's gone. He's not on the floor. I checked the cameras. And he...he pulled his IV's out. He turned off the machines so I wouldn't hear the beeping. He's not on his platelets!"

"Oh shit," you say, suddenly wide awake. "Vivian," you firmly grab her shoulders, more concerned about Tony than you care to admit. "Why haven't you called a Code Yellow?"

"B-because I...I didn't mean to...h-he asked me if-,"

"Spit it out, Viv!" you say, dropping her shoulders and pulling on a pair of casual leggings and a black t-shirt before grabbing your white coat and ID badge.

"Because it's my fault!" she whisper-shouts.

You freeze, and turn to look at her.

"What do you mean?" you ask quietly. Dangerously.

"Y/n, I'm sorry...I didn't mean to be unprofessional I just...he asked really nicely and I couldn't say no!" she says, dropping her eyes to the floor. "He's got such nice eyes and his smile...I just...I wanted to help him out, you know?"

You feel something akin to anger bubbling up in your chest.
