"If you say so then." The woman agreed.

Lola had been hoping to receive a call from Demilade since she returned home. She was hoping he would have to get over his anger. She tried to call him on her way back but his number was unreachable. And she doesn't want to disturb his work with his call.
She didn't know he was going to take it so seriously with her. It was never her intention to get on his bad side. She promised herself that when things goes back to normal, she won't dare make mention of the topic again.
Gratefully, his mother had told her not to force it any longer. She had decided to let her son be about the issue, so there was no reason to bring it up anymore. She doesn't even think she could, even if she didn't ask her to.
It was already affecting her relationship. She had not done without talking with Demilade in days and in a kind of way, it was killing her.
She was mad at him for hurting her in such a way but at the same time, she felt sorry and was missing him terribly. If he was punishing her, it sure works. He was doing a very good job at that.

Daniel walked into his sister's room to check up on her. She had not stepped out of her room since he returned from school and he wondered what was wrong. Although he could tell that she wasn't so happy since she came back from her boyfriend's house on Sunday he didn't ask why.
He saw her laying on her back on the bed, staring at the old ceiling. It was so unusual. She is supposed to be watching a movie or chatting on her phone. But she wasn't doing either of that. And she can't be reading because she wasn't much of a day reader. She reads mostly at night. But seeing her doing non of that was surprising.
He walked up to her and sat on the old brown rug in the room and he leaned on the edge of the bed.
"Sis. Sis." He called her, jerking her out of her thoughts.
She turned to look at him.
"Hey, when did you come in?" She asked, shifting on the bed.
"Just now. What's wrong? You have been moody." He said.
"I'm fine. Just thinking about something."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, Daniel." She said boredly. "Why do you come to see me?"
"I just came to check on you." He said and he shrugged. She nodded without saying anything. "Are you having any problem?" She just shakes her head. "I noticed you don't have night conversations with your boyfriend since you came back. Are you both fighting?"
Lola heaved a sigh. She trusted her brother to notice the slightest thing.
"Yes."
"What..."
She quickly cut him off. "It is nothing serious. We still talk." He gave her a look. He didn't believe her. "I'm serious Dan. We are fine. There is no relationship without an argument. It's bound to happen. But it's nothing serious." She convinced him.
"If you say so. Then why are you moody?"
"I'm not. I am just thinking about something." She said and she was quiet for a while. She turned to her side to face him properly. "Dan, do you still have Mom's number?"
The boy was sincerely shocked. He opened his eyes wide in disbelief. He knew how much his sister hate talking about their mother. And she refused to talk with her after the first time.
