Chapter 26

Skips to two weeks later. 

Sid and Jaan had met dadi, and she was very happy now. They didn't want to lie to her, but couldn't have her stress for them. In these two weeks, Avu had completely recovered, and used to avoid Arhaan as much as possible. Today Abhijeet were coming back, and Reem was the most excited. Even Jaineet were excited as Jai is going to propose Reem. Right now all were waiting for Abhijeet, but all included Arhaan as well. It was a Sunday, so no one had work. Their team had come second, but it was like first, as the team which had come first had won by bribery. But no one could say against them as they were a very big and famous academy. Finally the bell rang, and Reem went and opened the door. She hugged Abhijeet as soon as she opened the door. They all welcomed the two, luckily Abhi was too happy with everyone to notice Arhaan. In the evening, Abhineet went to dadi's home, and had to go to the hotel after that, where all their friends will be waiting. They entered and went to dadi's room. Dadi got happy seeing them. 

Dadi: Acha hua aa gaye tum dono, bahut yaad aa rahi thi tum dono ki. { It's good you both came, I was missing you both a lot.}

Abhi: Mai aaj hi lauta hu Rajasthan se. { I returned today only from Rajasthan.}

Dadi: Hmm. Kaisa tha? Usse pehle, tum dono Sid aur Jannat ko bula lo na, mai aaj tum charo ke sath rehna chahti hu aaj. { Hmm. How was it? Before that, you both call Sid and Jannat also, I want to be with you four today.}

Abhineet looked at each other. Avu nodded and went outside to call them. They both agreed, and reached the flat after sometime. They spent the evening with dadi, and left when she had to sleep. But Avu was a bit worried, as from dadi's behaviour she had understood what is going to happen. They reached home after sometime. All went to their rooms except Abhi, who went with Avu to her room. 

Avu: Abhi, Rajasthan mein bhi cartoons dekhte the kya? { Abhi, you used to watch cartoons in Rajasthan too?}

Abhi: Kabhi chidana band nahi karegi na tu? { You'll never stop teasing me right?}

Avu: Acha sorry, lekin kal subah Jaan complain karne waali hai, pados ke bache cartoons full volume par dekh rahe hai. Ab usse kya pata, ki pados ka ghar nahi, kamra hai, upar wala. { Ok sorry, but tomorrow morning Jaan is going to complain, the kids in our neighborhood were watching cartoons on full volume. She doesn't know right, that it is not the neighboring house, but the room, upper one.}

Abhi threw a pillow at Avu, making her laugh. 

Avu: Sorry sorry. 

Abhi: Avu, aaj Arhaan kyu tha ghar mein? { Avu, why was Arhaan here today?}

Avu: Wo un sab ka dost hai aur ab Nandra designers mein bhi kaam karta hai, ek tarah se udhar bhi mera senior hai. { He is a friend of all of them and works in Nandra designers also, in a way he is my senior there too.}

Abhi: Tune mujhe pehle kyu nahi bataya? { Why didn't you tell me earlier?}

Avu: Kyunki mai nahi chahti thi ki competition ke poore time aap tension mein raho. { Because I didn't want you to be in tension during the entire competition.}

Abhi: Agar kuch ho jata toh? Competition se zyada zaroori tu hai. { What if something would have happened? You are more important than the competition.}

Avu: Is wajah se. Itna kyu darte ho aap? Aur aapko kaise pata chala ki woh Arhaan hai? { This is the reason. Why do you get so scared? And how did you know he is Arhaan?}

Abhi: Reem ne mujhe pehle hi uski tasweer dikha di thi. Ab Reem janti hai ki hum usse nafrat karte hai. { Reem had showed me his photo. Now even Reem knows that we hate him.} 

Avu: Jai aur Sid bhi. Par us bewakoof ko samjh nahi aati ye baat. Use abhi bhi lagta hai hum dono uske dost hai, aur sabke saamne jhoota natak karta hai ki hume dost samajhta hai. { So do Sid and Jai. But that idiot doesn't understand this. He still thinks we are his friends, and acts in front of everyone like he considers us as his friend.}

Abhi: Usne hume pagal samajh rakha hai. Khair, wo sab chod, mai t.v. chalata hu. { He thinks we are mad. Anyways, leave all that, I'll turn on the t.v.}

Avu: Mera man nahi hai aaj, aap dekho. Mai aapke room mein sone jaa rahi hu. { I don't want to today, you see. I am going to your room to sleep.}

He was about to say something, but stopped. 

Abhi: Thik hai. 

After she left he tossed the remote onto the bed, using his phone. Avu went out but bumped into Vaish. 

Avu's POV: 

Vaish: Tu kaha ja rahi hai? { Where are you going?}

I immediately called, hiding phone from her, and Abhi picked up. 

Avu: Abhi ke room mein, kyunki Abhi mere kamre mein so gaye hai. { To Abhi's room, because Abhi slept in my room.}

Vaish: Woh udhar kyu so raha hai? { Why is he sleeping there?}

Avu: Hum dono yuhi baat kar rahe the par unhe neend aa gayi. { We both were just talking but he fell asleep.}

Vaish: Ok. 

I went from there and put phone to my ear. 

Abhi: I heard. 

Avu: Hmm. 

I went to his room and lied down. I was just going through my phone, not feeling sleepy. After few hours I saw it was 2:00 a.m. I called Abhi. 

Abhi: Hello. 

Avu: Ab so jao tv band karke, late ho gaya hai. { Turn off the tv and sleep now, it's late.}

I smiled imagining the face he must have made at my words.

Abhi: Chota bacha nahi hu mai, aur mera man badal gaya, toh mai nahi dekh raha tha. { I am not a small child, and my mind changed, so I wasn't seeing.}

Avu: Ha, bahut bade bache ho aap. Ab so jao. { Yes, you are a very big child. Now go to sleep.}

Abhi: Hmm. Good night, love you.

Avu: Good night, love you too.

I kept my phone aside and fell asleep after sometime.
