the boys all were in one room, renjun's room. a picture of all seven of them hung on the wall.
it was taken during renjun's birthday,
his face was smothered in cake
and his hospital robe was all dirty and stained with icing.

they were all smiling, even though they knew
that their friend would be leaving them.
donghyuck and jaemin were behind him, arguing
on who gets to feed him the cake, jisung sneakily
giving him the cherry that was ontop of it, jeno trying
to calm the two boys down, chenle blabbering about
himself in chinese and mark, smiling at all his
friends.

mark lies on the couch looking at the mp3 renjun
gave him. renjun never knocked on his window , it
was the sound of kids playing ball outside and
he was in his room. he reminisces.

jaemin sat infront of renjun's wardrobe, tears staining the framed picture of him and the
chinese. renjun never brought jaemin to the rooftop ,
he ate there a lot because it was the place his
brother , renjun , and him would eat lunch together.
he reminisces.

chenle was on renjun's bed, head leaning on
his boyfriend's shoulder. renjun was never there to
comfort him about his crush on jisung anymore , in
fact they're actually dating now. renjun and him
would always stay back to clean the classrooms and
they would plan the perfect date. he reminisces.

jisung was beside chenle, his phone showed
the chats of him and the older as he read them
over and over again. renjun never called
jisung on that day, it was just a voicemail
that he left him during his last moments. he
reminisces.

donghyuck cries in renjun's bathtub. head filled
with his comforting words. "you look amazing
donghyuck!" , "wow, that looks great on you!" he
would always say while silently judging his
skinny self. renjun never called donghyuck
downstairs that day, it was just a thing he and
the other would do when renjun was still healthy.
he reminisces.

jeno stands infront of renjun's window,
looking into the lens of the telescope but it
didn't feel the same. without renjun,
looking at the stars only brought pain. renjun
was never with him during his 19th birthday,
renjun passed during his 18th. he was the
one who decided to go to chenle's balcony,
a place where he and the chinese would cuddle
secretly. he reminisces.

the six boys may have lost their friend, their
very valuable one. but they made a promise, to
never forget him, and to fulfill his dream
of having a star under his name. renjun's
mother walks in the room, passing mark
an envelope.

opening the envelope mark took out the
piece of paper. it was an envelope, an
envelope that was proof of the star they
bought.' they had succeeded. there was
a star named huang renjun.
