It was the day of the Unity Day Masquerade Dance, and it was an event that everyone seemed to be going to, even though the dance occurred every year. Something in the back of Rosie's mind told her to go to the dance, a feeling that something bad was going to happen there, and everyone knows Rosie Devereux does not back off from something exciting happening. So that's exactly what she did, she went to the masquerade dance, in hopes of something happening.

Upon arriving at the room where the dance took place, Rosie immediately went to stand in an empty corner, her eyes scanning over everyone as they danced, and seemingly having a good time.

"What are you doing over here in the corner by yourself? You loner." Finn asked his brunette friend jokingly, as Raven and him came over to stand in front of Rosie. Finn Collins was one of Rosie's best friend since forever, along with a raven haired mechanic going by the name of Raven Reyes. The three had always had each other's back, no matter what. They were always there for each other, supporting each other to the best of their abilities. The three teenagers having no family left, took solace in one another, being each other's families instead.

"You guys are here, aren't you?" Rosie retorted, giving the male a smirk. Finn gave the girl a small glare at her quick retort, as Raven let out a laugh.

"True that." Raven smiled.

"Let's go dance." Finn says to the two girls he considered family. Rosie shook her head rapidly, face quickly scrunching up in disgust as she thought about dancing with the two.

"I'm not going to be your third wheel." Rosie tells them, knowing deep down that if she did go with them, the two would "dance" together and leave Rosie dancing awkwardly by. Raven and Finn gives the brunette a look, wondering why she would assume that.

"You won't be the third wheel." Raven tells her, making her raise her eyebrow knowingly, as if asking them, 'really?'. Raven stopped to think about before smiling sheepishly, the brunette would totally be a third wheel if she hung out with Finn and her.

"Go without me." Rosie says, pushing them off in the direction of the dance floor. They left without any arguments, eager to dance together. Five minutes in solitary after Finn and Raven left, the music abruptly stopped, everyone's eyes looking around in confusion.

"Solar flare alert. An x-class solar flare has begun on the starboard side of The Ark. All citizens must report to the nearest shelter zone immediately. This is not a test. This is a solar flare alert." A woman on the P.A. system sounded, making everyone seemingly relax as they had this happen too often to be panicking .

"Bell, I need to get home." A panicking Octavia speaks to her brother in an attempted whisper. Rosie hearing it immediately, sparking her with interest as to why the girl had to leave.

"You will." Bellamy's gruff voice replies, trying to calm the girl down.

"Ladies and gentlemen, you know the drill. Masks off, I.D chips out." A guard yells out to everyone, making them quickly getting their metal chips out from their pockets, or the chains on their necks. Rosie takes her mask off, flinging it to the side, deciding that she didn't need it anymore. The chip necklace hanging limply around her throat, ready for the guards to come check it.
