Chapter 22: Insanity

Third Person POV 

Ironwood was standing in a room as he looked out the window. Looking at two teams as they trained with each other. 

???: General. 
He heard a voice before turning to see Winter. 

Ironwood: Winter. What is it? 
He asked as he looked back at the two teams. 

Winter: I have a question regarding Y/N L/N. The boy you've brought onto this project. 

Ironwood: Winter, we've talked about this. 

Winter: I know sir but don't you think he is a little...too-

Ironwood: Hot headed? Ill-tempered? 

Winter: Yes general. Even his killings of those criminals. Cutting their fingers off. Broken bones. Electrocution. Why would you let him on this? 

Ironwood: Because he is the best one we have.
He said before walking over to a console and pulling up Y/N's file. 

Ironwood: There is a reason why I've brought him onto this project. 
He said as he looked at the files. 

Winter: Why sir. 

Ironwood: When our drones at Beacon started attacking the students during the Vytal Festival. When we came back, I've wanted answers. 
He said as he scrolled down Y/N's files. 

Ironwood: Y/N was one of the few people that gave me an answer. Said he found traces of a virus and informed me of a possible inside job along with Pietro. 

Winter: So that's why... 

Ironwood: Pietro has little time left and Y/N is still young. He would have graduated by now if he didn't suddenly disappear for half a year. 

To Y/N 

Y/N was sitting in a truck as he looked at his scroll, working as Ruby looked at him curiously. 

Ruby: Hey what are you doing? 

Y/N: Working. 
He said as he continued to work. 

Ruby: Working on what? 

Y/N: Working on Ironwood's project. 
He said before seeing an error. 

Y/N: Damn it. Messed up again. 
He said with annoyance as Ruby looked at him. 

Ruby: How did you mess up? 

Y/N: Since Ironwood plans on making this a satellite, it must be this certain height and power. However... 
He said as Ruby looked at him with confusion. 

Ruby: Huh.... 

Y/N: Long story short, there is not enough materials for this damn thing. 

Ruby: Oh... 

Y/N: Which is lovely. 

Ruby: I'm sure we have enough materials in this cargo. 
She said with a smile. 

Y/N: Hopefully. If not, all of this would be for nothing. 
He said before feeling the truck stop. 

Y/N: What the hell. 
He said before looking up front to see two girls looking at them. 

???: What's going on up there? 
One asked as Y/N turned towards them to see Clover. 

Ruby: Two people are standing in front of us. 

Clover: Y/N. You're with me. Red, you're with Penny in case we need back up. 
He said as Y/N stepped out of the truck with him. 

Y/N: How lovely. 
He groans with annoyance as he walked with Clover up to the two.
