I did not get up. I jumped out of bed with the bell ringing. When I went downstairs I saw it was Michael and Elenia. I opened the gate for them and waited until they showed up at the main door.

"good morning Mr. Brown."

"good morning guys! Come in come in."

"How are you doing Mr brown?" as Elenia asked that question I noticed she was taking a peek at the guest room. I saw that she is still scared about what happened last day. The fear was all over her face.

"I'm doing well Elenia." I responded to her and I noticed that John was also coming towards us.

"oh, Mr. Anderson is also here?"

"good morning guys. Yeah Michael I'm also here. It's been a long time since I've last seen you guys."

"that's really great. Otherwise Mr. Brown is alone."

"yeah Michael I decided to spend these days with Alfred."

"yeah that's better. I also had some work. That's why I couldn't come here"

"oh don't worry! You came today and that's what matters. After all, I didn't call you as well. So you're not at fault at all." I told him.

"Mr. Brown, should I make some coffee?"

"yeah sure! Good idea actually"

"that's really a good idea. It's been a while since I last had a coffee from Elenia." John added.

Elenia smiled at us and soon she went to the kitchen. We both went to the garden with Michael and explained to him what needs to be done. Meanwhile, Elenia came to us with the coffee which was full of strong fragrance. Its pleasant odour spreader in the area makes us restless to taste it.

"then Mr. Brown and Mr. Anderson, enjoy the coffee.. I'll clean the house quickly and prepare the lunch for you."

"ok Elenia." I said.

She smiled again and offered another cup of coffee to Michael as well and she left.

This evening we have to attend Sonia!'s engagement. John wanted to go to the barber so we got ready to go out. I spoke to Elenia for a bit and she was doing the house work while I interrupted her for a while.

"Elenia, we're going to the barber. Michael, if there is anything, call me."

"ok Mr. Brown"

"ah another thing. Don't clean the guest room. It's closed."

"ok."

We got into the car and drove to the salon. As there were not many people, John was able to get in sooner. I waited in the car until he returned. I turned on the radio as the silence in the car made me feel bored.

Remains of a dead body were found in an abandoned area. Police's spokesperson said it could be a murder..

I turned off the radio as soon as I heard the news.

"always something like that!" I told myself.

After some time, I saw John was coming. He seemed even more handsome with the haircut and the trimmed beard.

"ok then let's go." he sat in the car while saying that.

We started driving back home. As we entered the garden, I saw it was nicely cleaned. As we got out of the car, we walked to where Michael was at.

"ah Mr. Brown and Mr. Anderson!" he came out of the storeroom.

"I changed the lock of the storeroom. Here are the keys."

"that's great. I was about to tell you but you did it even before I said. Very good Michael!"

He smiled and gave me the keys of the new lock. I put them in my pocket.

"work is almost finished. Now I just have to cut the grass."

"ok Michael, then we'll go inside. Come when you're finished." I and John came inside.

As I smelt a nice smell from the kitchen, I went there. Elenia was about to finish cooking.

"wow! Roasted chicken, salad and soup, great! You've made yourself tired to make all these! Thank you Elenia."

"no! I'm not tired. After all you don't get to eat home cooked food that much isn't it?"

"hm that's true. Ok you guys also have lunch with us."

"no Mr. Brown. We have some other place to go as well. We have to be there at 3pm."

"hmm. Then at least pack the food and bring. So you two can eat before starting work again."

She agreed and I came to my room. As I entered I saw all my clothes were nicely ironed and folded on the bed.

"poor Elenia! She must be really tired!" I thought.

"Alfred today your house is perfectly in order."

"yeah. That's why I said that's one nice couple out there."

"yeah I have to ask if they're able to come to my apartment as well." John said.

"why not? I'm sure they'll come. I will ask."

As we came downstairs Michael and Elenia were getting ready to go.

"ok Mr. Brown and Mr. Anderson, then we'll take your leave."

"ok Michael!" as I concluded I handed him the salary for the day.

"why are you always paying me more Mr. Brown?" He looked at the money he gave and asked me.

"Michael, more than the work both if you do, your humanity is worth a lot to me. This is just a small amount." as I said that I saw Elenia was looking at us with shiny eyes. They bade farewell to us and started to get going. Once they left, John and I started having our lunch.

John wanted to go to his apartment so he asked for my car and left while saying he'll be back soon. As I had nothing special to do, I went to my office room. I wanted to finish some of the undone work. I heard my phone ringing.

It was an unknown number. I decided to pick it up no matter from whom it was from.

"hello, is this Mr. Brown?"

"yes, speaking"

"I'm Peter. Who worked at Mr. Davies's"

"ah Peter yeah tell me? Why do you sound stressed?"

"Mr. Davies has gone missing from the hospital!"

"what!" I stood up from where I was sitting out of surprise.

"how come he's disappeared?"

"I don't know Mr. Brown. When Mrs. Davies and I came here, he wasn't on the bed. We searched everywhere. But Mr. Davies wasn't there. Police also came."

"what the heck!" unknowingly it slipped my mouth.

"we're surprised as well. We are still at the hospital."

"ok wait, I'll come there ASAP."

I hung up the call with Peter and called John. He wasn't answering the phone.

"Why isn't this John answering the?!" I felt frustrated.

I had nothing to do but wait because he took my car. As I kept the phone on the table, I noticed that the pocket watch which I've kept there all these days was no longer there.

"Now where is it? it wasn't mine. I kept it in case I met the guy once again. I remembered keeping it there. What ghost has taken it now!??"
