Chapter 7

Today is Wednesday November 28th, and today is the day we fly out to the U.S for my first show with One Direction am I scared? Fuck yeah I am, ever since the album release party and the official release of the album my life has been flipped upside down.

A couple days after the album came out I had a call from Jon asking me if I was available to attend a meeting with modest management so I could sign my contract, the meeting was pretty simple when I first got there I was met with a woman called Claire she took me into a very large office that was very sleek and modernised black and gold decor everywhere with marble flooring it was very fancy

She motioned for me to take a seat in front of the very large desk that was centred near the back of the office where she then took a seat behind the desk, she went on to explain what was apart of the contract and that I would only be signing on for one tour and any other shows that the boys would be doing whether that be for award shows or tv appearances, she then continued to explain that if the band where to go on another tour I would have to renew my contract and so on and so forth I was happy with the contract and signed with no issues

However i had something else to sign which I had no idea about since this is my first time working with such a large artists, I had to sign an NDA also known as a non disclosure agreement, Claire explained that this would basically be me signing an agreement that I would not give out any personal information about the boys or any new projects that the band were working on, I basically had to stay silent about everything unless the public already knew about it. I signed the agreement with no issues again I mean who was I going to tell? Like of course I had my friends like Alex, Sammy, Joe and Oscar but I knew how important this was so I wouldn't be saying a word

After my meeting with Claire rehearsals started up and we were basically rehearsing everyday whether that be just the band or with the boys present too, I've become comfortable with all of the boys and the band they're all so kind and funny, they like to joke around a lot and make the rehearsals fun and lighthearted not too serious to make it unenjoyable

Over the past two weeks I have learnt how to play every song that I need to know from both albums and a couple of extras that the boys want to do for covers, it's been a lot to take in but I've enjoyed the challenge I've never had to know so many songs at once it was quite overwhelming at first but I know those songs like the back of my hand now, even when I wasn't in rehearsal with the band I would go to our old rehearsal space for the Devils Angels and rehearse the songs in there just so I knew them

I didn't want to let them down so any free time I had would be spent making sure I knew every song ready for the show and well my first show which is in two days

I'm currently waiting in my flat to be picked up by Paul to be taken to the airport, he should be here any minute, I'm feeling the nerves already I've gone from performing in front of a couple hundred people maximum too thousands it doesn't feel real yet but I am also excited to experience what so many other incredible artists and musicians do

A car horn blaring out side breaks me from my thoughts and I grab my suitcase and my backpack leaving my flat and locking the door behind me, I make my way down the stairs and out too the front of the building where I see Paul standing in front of the black Range Rover

"Hi Eliza, how're you feeling?" He asks

"Hi Paul" I smile "I'm feeling okay little nervous but I'm trying not to overthink it" I say as he takes my bags from me and puts them in the boot

"You'll be amazing Eliza, you have nothing to worry about" he gives me a reassuring smile

"Thanks Paul"

"No problem now let's get you to the airport" he opens the car door for me and shuts it behind me once I'm settled in he jumps in the drivers seat and soon enough we're driving towards Heathrow airport
