Dear Katie,
Luca told me about his family today. I was wrong about him. He doesn't have a luxurious life as I had thought. He had it rough, rougher than we had that's for sure. At least when dad died last year, we had mom. But Luca had no one growing up. He was an orphan.
His family died when he was a kid. Can you imagine that, Katie? Living without mom and dad. I guess you could. I'm sorry.
Anyway, Luca told me that the family he's looking for now is other orphans from his group home. He told me that there are kids your age too. I hope you're with them. I really hope so, Katie.
