In English, Sean couldn't stop thinking about Jessica. Sean drew pretty well, but he didn't notice that he was drawing an insulting picture of Mr. Wader, his teacher.
When Mr. Wader saw it, he called, "SEAN! DETENTION, NOW!" As Sean was walking to detention, he saw Jessica coming out of the bathroom.
"What are you doing?" Jessica asked. Sean said that he was going to detention. Jessica gasped.
"Detention!" Jessica exclaimed. "Why?" Sean stopped. He didn't want to tell Jessica what he had done. Then, Jessica would dump him for sure!
"I, um, dropped my textbook," said Sean quickly.
"Well, see you later," said Jessica. Sean breathed a sigh of relief. Jessica hadn't found out. He still had a shot with her.
"If only I could do something big," said Sean wistfully, "Then she'd dump Rick for me!" Sean sighed.
"I'd better get to detention," he said.
