KAYNE: How on earth are you able to work in such a messy place?
Lee pops back up from behind the desk, holding a box.
LEE: It may be messy, but I know where everything is.
KAYNE: (tired) Alright, what do you have? Nothing extremely childish, I hope.
LEE: Nope!
Lee pushes some spare parts behind the desk, leaving room for the box, which she sets on the table and opens. Lee takes out a long rectangular device and holds it up.
LEE: So Nunavut is a snowy place, right?
KAYNE: (nods) Yes. You're supposed to be smart, aren't you?
LEE: First, that was a solid burn that actually stung a little. Second, yes I am. Let's say you need to get somewhere fast, and the fastest way is through a snow filled area. If you take any vehicle that isn't made for snow and place this device on the front bumper, it will melt the snow and ice in front of you, making it easier to ride through.
Kayne glances at Lee as she takes the device to study it.
KAYNE: That is... an unusual way to solve the issue. But it's useful.
LEE: That's the point.
Lee rummages through the box.
LEE: Hayes said we need to get more creative with our tools and problem solving skills, something about throwing our enemies off or something along those lines. I've been trying a handful of new ideas, these are the few that are actually okay.
Lee sets a small ball shaped device on the table. Kayne picks it up and inspects it as Lee continues rummaging.
KAYNE: What's this?
LEE: That is a reusable explosive.
Kayne holds the device away from her.
KAYNE: Pardon, did you say "reusable explosive"?
LEE: Yup. Dex helped out with this one. I made the device so that when it explodes, the actual capsule doesn't go off. It just releases a smaller capsule, that's the actual explosive. The device you are holding can hold about twenty explosive capsules so you can reuse it about twenty times. Probably overkill, but whatever. Dex synced the device to this watch so whenever you use the explosive, it will send its location to the watch so you can go back and pick it up. So it could double as a tracker.
Lee takes a watch out of the box and hands it to Kayne. Kayne looks at the watch in her hand, then at the device in her other hand.
KAYNE: If I may ask. How do you come up with this stuff?
LEE: (shrugs) I don't know. I usually just think of something that would be fun to use against Bakes and make it. Speaking of, I'm gonna need that back when you're done with your mission.
Kayne raises her eyebrow. Lee clears her throat awkwardly and quickly picks up the four rectangular devices on the table.
