FM Pilot Script: Part One

Pilot Script Part One (newest draft as of 5/8/21)

LEE: I'm assuming there's something else? Despite the fact that you just told Dex that was all?

Lee takes a sip from her mug.

HAYES: Yes. You are aware that Kayne is waiting for you outside your lab, yes?

Lee freezes.

LEE: What?

HAYES: She's waiting for her gear, Fischer. Everything you were supposed to have done last week.

LEE: Shiiiiiit!

Lee quickly sets her mug down and books it out of the office. Hayes watches her go, slightly amused.

Lee runs by Dex at the printer, who is stapling his coding report. Dex looks up as Lee passes him and watches her run off in confusion.

DEX: Where are you going?

Lee turns and runs backwards as she answers.

LEE: (yells) No time! Lab or I'm dead!

Lee turns back around and shoots down the staircase. Dex smiles while shaking his head. MAXINE walks up next to him and hands him a folder while watching Lee disappear.

MAXINE: What's wrong with her?

DEX: If I had to guess, she's late giving Agent Kayne her supplies for the second time this month.

Slight pause before Maxine looks down at the file.

MAXINE: She's going to have to run faster than that.

DEX: Really? Five dollars says she makes it in time.

Maxine looks up from the files and raises her eyebrow at Dex. He returns it with an amused/inquiring look. Maxine finally grins and starts laughing.

MAXINE: You are so on, U.K.

Maxine hands the files to Dex, who takes them and looks through the first one.

DEX: What's all this?

MAXINE: Pérez wants you to correct his reports for spelling errors and stuff like that.

DEX: (sighs) He is a thirty-year-old man, why can't he do it himself?

Pérez appears behind Dex and leans on his shoulder, causing Maxine and Dex to jump.

PÉREZ: Because you owe me for distracting me while Marion and I were training.

DEX: Bloody hell mate! A warning would be appreciated next time!

PÉREZ: This was your warning.

Pérez winks at Dex, then walks off and is replaced by Hayes, who nods to Maxine.
