FM Pilot Script: Part One

Pilot Script Part One (newest draft as of 5/8/21)

BRACKEN: (frustrated) Dammit!

Dex looks at Lee who looks scared but is trying to hide it. She fires the gun at Torres who backs up into the room, avoiding the pellet.

Dex looks at the door again and rams his good shoulder into it. The door swings open, Lee pushes Dex through, firing one more time at Bracken before the door closes.

Torres steps out of the room and lowers her gun as she sees that Dex and Lee are gone.

Bracken rips the small silver pellets from his clothes as he stands up. Torres approaches him and he looks at her, angry.

BRACKEN: (angry) I'm gonna kill that kid.

TORRES: Which one?

BRACKEN: Which do you think?

TORRES: We gotta catch her first.

BRACKEN: Then what the hell are we waiting for?

Bracken runs for the doors and Torres follows.

TORRES: (to herself) I was waiting for you.

CUT TO:

EXT. OUTSIDE OF THE APARTMENT - MOMENTS LATER

Dex and Lee run out of the apartment and continue running down the sidewalk. They make it to the end of the block and Lee pulls Dex into a dark alleyway. They both stop to catch their breath.

LEE: (breathing hard) Holy... shit!

DEX: (breathing hard) Too close... way too close!

LEE: No shit Sherlock... now what?

DEX: Markovetz... he...

Lee looks at Dex and snaps her fingers at him.

LEE: Hey, hey! Don't panic on me now, let's get out of here first!

Dex hesitates. Then nods.

DEX: Right... you're right... We need to tell Hayes... but we should get somewhere safer first.

LEE: Okay... let's go then.

Lee starts for the end of the alleyway, but stops when she realizes that Dex isn't following. He is holding his head in one hand and his eyes are closed. It looks like he's concentrating.

LEE: You literally just said we should get somewhere safer, what's wrong?

DEX: I'm... I'm not the only one here.

LEE: (confused) Well yeah, because I'm next to you- 

Lee cuts off as she realizes what Dex meant. She sighs in annoyance.

LEE: (hissing) Tell Oliver his timing is shit!

Dex's eyes flash orange and he looks over at Lee.

DEX (OLIVER): I heard that!
