FM Pilot Script: Part One

Pilot Script Part One (newest draft as of 5/8/21)

LEE: (whispers) No you can't. Because I would come back as a ghost and haunt the hell out of you.

Dex rolls his eyes and stands up. Lee does the same and the two nod to each other before walking towards the door. Dex gets there first and slowly looks around the corner of the door. Lee's head appears below his as they look inside the room.

The room is full of broken furniture and the doors that open to other rooms are either gone or are opened. One door across the room is mostly open and through the opening, you can see Markovetz who was tied up on his knees, bruised and bloody.

Dex and Lee both look at Markovetz, then their eyes widen in realization.

LEE: (quiet) Shit...

DEX: (quiet) Noah...?

Lee takes out her phone and quickly takes a picture. She puts her phone away and ducks back along with Dex as Bracken comes into view. Bracken hits Markovetz in the face and Dex and Lee both wince as Markovetz grunts. Bracken walks around him, completely in view now.

BRACKEN: (looks up) Are you doing it?

TORRES: (O.S) No.

BRACKEN: This is why I'm above you.

TORRES: Shut up and do it.

Markovetz starts trying to talk but his words are muffled by the tape over his mouth. Bracken hits him again as he takes a gun out of his holster.

BRACKEN: (loading the gun) Shut up.

Bracken aims the gun at Markovetz's head. Dex begins to move, but Lee stands up first.

LEE: Stop!

Bracken and Markovetz look over at the doorway to see Lee standing there. Torres pokes her head out from around the corner to see as well.

Dex looks up at Lee, shocked.

DEX: What the hell are you doing?!

LEE: Well you weren't jumping up so someone had to!

Bracken looks confused for a second, then he points his gun at Lee.

LEE: Shit- I didn't think this through!

BRACKEN: (to Torres) I thought you said this place was abandoned.

TORRES: It is.

BRACKEN: Good.

Bracken puts his finger on the trigger and Lee braces herself. Markovetz stands up and rams into Bracken, knocking him over.

DEX: Noah?!

Markovetz tears the duct tape off of his face and looks at Dex and Lee.

MARKOVETZ: Run!

Bracken gets his gun and shoots Markovetz in the head.
