Chapter 15

I wake up warm, I feel a grip around me tighten and I cuddle into whatever I'm on
"Awww, they are so cute!" I hear Sami say
"It's weird and nasty seeing my sister like this but I like seeing she's happy" I hear James say then the door closes and footsteps fade away, I slowly open my eyes and see a bare chest under me, I recognize the tattoo on his left shoulder blade and I lay my chin on his chest as I admire my mate.

"Stared long enough" He mumbles after two minutes and I blush but smirk
"No, I havent" I say, his lips form into a smile then his hazel eyes open and look down at me
"You're quite a view" I say and he chuckles then his hands go on my butt
"So are you, now we need to get up, heard your brother and Sami walk in, we need to see what they wanted" He says and then squeezes my butt and my eyes widen slightly.

"Hands off my booty" I say and he smirks
"No" He says then squeezes again
"Derek" I say in a warning tone and he continues to smirk then he slaps it making me gasp
"That's mine, you're mine, all of you" He whispers then pulls me up and kisses me, I don't hesitate to kiss back, then I pull away
"And you're mine, all of you" I say as I get out of his grip and go to the bathroom, I brush my teeth as he steps in rubbing his chest
"Want to join me in the shower?" He asks winking and I rinse my mouth
"No, you can shower alone" I say and he pouts making me giggle then walk passed him.

"Where are you going?" He asks
"My room...to shower" I say and he groans
"You are so mean" He says and I laugh then walk out after giving his butt a slap making him jump.

I brush through my hair as I look at myself in the mirror, I stare into my eyes and I don't recognize the girl staring back at me, she's not the same girl from the last couple years, this girl looks happier and I don't like it, happiness can weaken a person and I've been a 'I don't give a shit' girl for three years. I notice my colored strands of hair are going blonde, I need to redye them, my hair is longer, almost to my butt, I sigh then walk out grabbing money and my motorcycle keys then my helmet.

I rush downstairs and see Derek talking with James
"Where you going?" Sami asks making everyone look at me
"I'll be back, I'm going into town real quick" I say then I'm out the door and to the garage, I get on my baby then bring it to life and as the guys all rush out I speed off.

I look at my hair and smile
"Thank you" I say paying the lady then I run my hand through my hair, it's cut to its usual medium length and I dyed more strands of my light brown hair purple, pink, and blue. I didn't just do my hair, I also got waxed because it's been a good month without waxing which is horrible, I walk out of the salon and look around to see people walking around, smiling, laughing, I see people my age having a good time with friends.

I get on my baby then drive off to the diner, once I get there I go inside and get some food, I sit by the window and watch as people walk by having a good time.
"Everything okay Rose?" James mindlinks me and I pay for my food after finishing it then go outside and sit on my baby
"Yeah, just thinking, I'll be back in a bit" I reply then block everyone out, I stay in the lot, not doing anything but thinking, about what?

Everything that is going on in my life, three years ago I would have never thought that my life would be this complicated. A maniac trying to get me all to himself with the help of rouge wolves and vampires, three packs coming together to prevent that from happening because I'm a powerful wolf that will make peace in our world, all this and I'm not even twenty yet. After a couple minutes of silence and sitting, Star gets on full alert.

"What's wrong?" I ask her slipping on my helmet
"I don't know, the vibe is changing, changing to something dark, to death" She says and I bring my baby to life then speed off
"That must mean Ian is getting closer" I tell her
"Yeah, tomorrow mateless wolves find their mates, I'm positive tomorrow is when he'll attack" She tells me and I speed up.

Once I reach the pack house, I take my helmet off as the guys and my parents rush out

"Where were you?"
"You okay?"
"You had us worried!"

I stay leaning on my bike as I wait for them to shut up
"Yall done?" I ask when they just stare and stay silent I know that's a yes
"Star says that she believes Ian will attack tomorrow and I agree with her, we need to let everyone know right now and get our positions set" I say
"Are you sure sweetheart? It could be a misunderstanding" Mom says and I look at her
"I trust in my wolf, she has never failed me" I say

"She's right, Star is the main reason my pack has the label of strongest of all packs" Derek says
"Okay, let's get all the packs in the pack house" James says then the three alphas mindlink their packs and people start making their way to us, I go inside then stop halfway into the big room
"What's wrong?" Chad asks and I curse under my breathe
"You can't be my fake mate" I say
"Why?" He asks
"Ian knows that my true mate is not a beta, that it's an alpha" I say and he curses

"Then who?" Derek asks
"It's destiny" Drew says with a smirk, I roll my eyes
"I can't risk you Drew, I just can't, your pack" I say and he shrugs
"It has to be done, or do you want to risk your actual mate?" He asks and I look at Derek then at him and I sigh

"Rose, I can't stand back and let someone risk themselves over me, I'm an Alpha and me doing that shows that I'm afraid, when I'm not. I'll show myself as your mate tomorrow, whatever happens I can handle it" Derek says holding my hands in his and I lock eyes with him
"Are you sure?" I ask, he nods then kisses my forehead as pack members make their way into the big room.
