Back Stronger

Today is my sixteenth birthday which means my first shift and I will be able to smell my mates scent which I am excited but scared about. I'm excited because he's my other half, the one the moongodess made for me but scared because he may reject me and rejections are said to be the most painful thing that a werewolf can go through. I look at myself in the mirror one last time, I'm dressed in blue washed ripped skinny jeans, black loose v neck and my signature black on black converse, nothing to fancy or anything.

I get my backpack and head downstairs to be greeted by my parents, the Alpha and Luna of the pack, then my big brother, future alpha.

"Happy Birthday sweetheart" Mom says, she hugs me tight smiling
"Thanks mom" I say
"My little girl is going to have her first shift today" Dad says smiling wide then hugs me
"So little sis, who are you hoping is your mate?" James, my brother, asks, I roll my eyes
"I just hope I don't end up like you, mateless at twenty" I say, he glares at me
"Shut up" He mumbles, I laugh
"Okay stop playing around, you have to get to school" Mom says then kisses my cheek, my dad does the same and my brother just messes my hair up even more as I walk past him and out the door to see all the pack members going to their cars, bikes, trucks.

Being the alphas daughter should mean I'm popular, well I'm not, I'm actually at the bottom of the list but I don't mind, at least I don't get bullied, but if I wasn't of alpha blood I would get bullied on a daily. I get on the pack bus and keep my head low as I sit at the very front, the bus takes off and everyone starts to talk with their friends, I had a friend but after she had her first shift she changed and is now in the back with the populars, she's also the Betas daughter so that helped her get in that group.

When we reach the school I start feeling weird, I walk slowly as I start seeing colors then they make a weird symbol but when I blink it vanishes and a sweet smell hits my nose making me smile

"Mate! Mate!" I voice in my head says
"Who are you?" I ask it as I follow the smell
"Your wolf, Star" The voice says, I smile
"My wolf, you have a beautiful name" I tell her and she grins
"Thank you" She says then the smell gets stronger as we walk into the school and she starts wagging her tail repeating the word 'mate'.

I turn a corner then bump into someone falling onto the ground, I look up to see the schools hot shot, the popular guy, the one every girl faints over, my ex best friends brother, Chris
"You" We both say but in totally different tones, I say it with happiness and he says it with disgust.

I stand up dusting myself off, he shakes his head staring at me, I may not be the prettiest girl in school but I am decent, I have a small muffin top but I make sure not to get jeans that are tight to show it

"Oh god, why moongodess" He says then stops pacing and stares at me with his wolf eyes, they're a nice super light brown
"I, Christopher Price, reject you, Rose Kingsley, as my mate" He says, those words make my wolf whimper in pain, tears fill my eyes but I look into his and Star takes over locking eyes with his wolf, at the sight of Stars eyes, Chris looks shocked
"I, Rose Kingsley, accept your rejection and reject you, Christopher Price, as my mate" I say then he let's out a whimper of pain, I let my tears fall and run away from him feeling my body heat up as I reach the woods

"Rose, don't think, just jump" Star says and I do as told, I jump so high I feel as I'm flying then my bones crack and when I land I'm on all fours and taller than usual, my vision is clearer, my hearing is better, and I run in my wolf form. I stop at a small lake to look at my reflection and see icy blue eyes staring back at me, and those eyes belong to a pure white wolf

"So beautiful" I say then I let out a whimper as I feel a pain in my lower region
"He's having sex with another" Star cries and I shake my head
"Is this how it'll always be?!" I ask her
"We have to get far far away from him so the rejection can't hurt us when he goes to someone else for pleasure" She says
"Then let's go somewhere far" I say and run to the pack house thankful that my parents and brother aren't here when I shift back at the door quickly slipping on a long sweatshirt.

I go up to my room and slip on sweats then I write a letter to my family explaining why I am leaving and if I'll ever be back. I grab clothes to change too after I shift where ever I end up then I run out, when I get to the woods I shift and hold the bag with clothes with my mouth as I run, far away from pack Red Moon.

I am tired, hungry and thirsty, I am on new pack territory, I just don't know who's or how far away I am from mine. I drop next to a tree as my eyes start to drop, then I hear a crack of a branch but I am too tired to move. I pull the bag with my paw and let myself shift back to human form, pulling a sweatshirt out and covering my nude body with it as three wolves jump out growling at me, I would growl back but I'm too tired and I don't want to fight anyone.

"Please, don't hurt me" I whisper as my eyes keep trying to close, the one in the middle stops the growling and backs up behind a tree while the other two stare at me so that I won't pull anything. Then a very attractive guy comes out from behind the tree pulling on shorts
"Who are you? Are you a rouge?" He asks, I shake my head
"Not legally" I say, to be a rouge you have to have left your pack for more than three days or be kicked out, he furrows his brows

"Then? What are you doing on our territory? You're not from here" He says, I nod
"Can I at least slip on my clothes" I say, he nods and turns around, the two wolves do the same, I pull on my sweats then sweatshirt and clear my throat. They turn around and I sigh
"I ran away from the Red Moon pack, I just want to go somewhere far from it, a neutral land or something" I say
"You're a long way from home" He says, I look up at him
"How far?" I ask

"The Black Moon pack far" He says, my eyes widen, that's damn near across three whole states
"Oh my" I say then he nods
"I just mind linked my alpha, he'll be here shortly" He says then he turns to the other two and mind links them making them go behind trees and shift to human form coming out in only shorts. Five minutes later of silence someone jumps out of the trees feet away from me when he looks up from the ground his eyes mesmerize me

"Alpha" The tree guys say bowing their heads and the alpha chuckles
"Guys stop being idiots, I'm not alpha yet, now who is this?" He asks looking at me, I try to stand up, the tree helps as support
"Rose Kingsley" I say
"Kingsley? As in Red Moon?" He says and I nod
"You didn't mention that" The guy next to him says, I shrug
"You didn't have to know" I say, the Alpha chuckles then looks back at me

"Well I'm Derek Black, future Alpha of Black Moon pack. Now why did you leave your pack?" He asks, I jump into story, about how today is my sixteenth birthday, that my mate rejected me then went and had sex me feeling it, how I wasn't really bullied but I was in a way
"Well, if you want, you can stay here. My parents wouldn't mind it" Derek says

"They can't tell my parents though, I don't want them to come looking for me, I will go when I'm ready" I say and he nods
"Okay, I'll talk to them, so you want to stay?" He asks smiling, I smile then nod and he introduces the three guys behind him as Chad, Dave, and Riley
"These guys will be some great friends" Star says, I smile agreeing

I've been wanting to write a werewolf story for a while now, this is my FIRST one so if something's are different than in other werewolf stories bare with me. I'm going to try and make this story as entertaining as possible, if there are spelling errors I'm sorry.
