EXO's Aera Confirmed For Main Role In Chinese Remake Of South Korean Film "Always"

Aera is set to make her movie debut!
On August 18, it was announced that the female EXO member will be starring in the Chinese remake of the hit 2011 film "Always".
"Always" is a love story between a telemarketer remaining enthusiastic despite being blind and an ex-boxer who has shut his heart to the world.
'In Your Eyes' is the Chinese adaptation of the 2011 hit Korean movie 'Always' directed by Song Il Gon and starred by Han Hyo Joo and So Ji Sub. This is the fifth Korean movie to have a remake made by Chinese actors and actresses.
"In Your Eyes" is the fourth foreign adaptation following the 2014 Turkish version aptly titled "Sadece San", as 'Boxer' in Kannada in 2015, as "Do Lafzon Ki Kahani" in Hindi in 2016, and as 'Your Eyes Tell' in Japanese last year.
Aera will be playing the female lead, which was played by Han Hyo Joo in the original film. For the male lead, according to the Chinese online news platform DramaPanda, Huang Xiaoming has been confirmed for the role. The film will be directed by Zhang Yimou, a Chinese film director, writer, and producer. Some of his known works are "Hero", "Under the Hawthorne Tree", and "Raise the Red Lantern".
Aera's acting debut has been successful since taking over the role of Empress Navier in the webtoon-adaptated tv show 'The Remarried Empress' and as a support role in fantasy-romance 'Ancient Love Poetry' as Goddess Yuemi.
