"ARE YOU LISTENING to me, Xana Hara Mori?"

What are you saying again? You know I'm on my busy week, and you promised that no calls this week. And yet here you are skyping with me."

"I'm just excited to tell you something, sweetie." I doubt it. My mother always does this to me every time I'll inform her that I'll go to my penthouse for the busy week, and she will reason out that she missed me. I mean, it's just a day when we saw each other! My mother is so clingy, and I don't like it very much. I just can't believe that I get used to it.

"What is it, ma?"

"When you'll come home, sweetie?" malambing na tanong nito. Oh-o! I think I know where this going to end. I need to escape!

"Ma, I'll be flying to Japan after this week to meet Mr. and Mrs. Kyoshito to talk about their wedding after that I'll stay a few days there to explore Japan more." Paliwanag ko.

"Oh. I guess we can make time para dito sa sasabihin ko sa'yo." I can hear excitements.

"What is it, ma?"

"You're getting married, sweetie. Your papa and I haven't picked the right date but it had to be on January. And by the way your groom is so perfect for you-" naputol ang sinasabi ni mama, dahil agad kong isinara ang netbook dala ng inis.

If I finish these tonight, I can still catch up the flight I canceled earlier before my mother called.

From: Mama
Hi, sweetie I forgot to tell you that if you do something funny again this time, say bye-bye to your babies here.

No! Not my babies!

My mother may be clingy and sweet, but when she wants something, she'll surely get it by hook or by crook.

To: Mama
Ok, fine. Don't expect me to go on a date with that groom of mine so we can know each other, ma. Just send me the whole detail about the wedding and expect my appearance on the day of the wedding. I won't run this time.

Being single is more fun! No man that brings only headache, no commitments.

From: Mama
Well, fair enough. I'm sure you two will get along after the wedding.

I smiled in disgust. I want to throw up when I think of the idea of marriage. Damn, I hate it!
