Daniel was a bit taken about at the revelation. He knew he wasn't lying a bit. He said he wasn't born rich. He never knew that he was way worst than them in his younger days. He can see a very determined man who never gave up on his dreams. He sort of inspired him with just his little story.
"You are not really how I picture you. You have your own story and I shouldn't have judged you so quickly," he told Demilade.
"It is alright. People have the freedom to believe what they want to believe. Like someone said it's a free world," Demilade said. Daniel nodded smiling, remembering his sister's words. She usually uses that phrase and Demilade was quoting her. "But don't worry...you can do the same. Better in fact. You just have to be focused, determine, work hard, pray and never stop believing then you can achieve all your dreams," he advised.
Then he yawned, tiredly. And Daniel smirked. He knew he had keep the man up. He should have been on his bed.
"I apologize for keeping you up this long."
He waved it off. "It's nothing." And he stood up. "But I have to go to bed now. I have to be in Abuja and Ibadan tomorrow. We will discuss it some other time. It was nice talking with you."
"Same. Thanks for the time."
"It is a pleasure. You should also go and rest." The boy nodded in understanding.
"Bro Demilade," he called Demilade who was already leaving. He turned around and faced him. "I tell my sister a lot of things but please can you not tell her about our discussion tonight."
"I never intend to tell her. This is between us. Man to man, so don't worry." Demilade assured him.
"Thanks."
"You are welcome. Good night." He patted him on his shoulder and then he walked away.
Daniel smiled to himself. He was glad to have cleared his mind with Demilade. He felt relief and the same time happy and satisfied. He finally stood up and left the room.

The next day, the twins sat at the dining table with their brother and big sister, having their breakfast. They were served their breakfast by Deborah who left them to go do her other chores.
"Sister Lola, where is uncle Demmy?" Tife asked.
And the others turned to her to hear what she have to say.
"It is a weekday, so he had gone to work."
"Work? Okay," the girls chorused.
"But I have been awake since seven twenty. I didn't see him leave," Daniel said.
"Well, that's because he had left since six thirty in the morning. He has two important places to be today. He is going to Ibadan and Abuja," she answered him.
"Oh! Yes. He mentioned it," Daniel said to himself. But all eyes turned to him.
"When?" Lola asked.
The boy began to think of what to say. He didn't want his sister to know he had a conversation with her boyfriend the previous night.
"Well, I overheard his conversation with someone yesterday night." He lied.
"So you came back to the sitting room to watch TV?" Lola asked.
He smiled. "Yes. Sorry." He agreed, grateful that she gave him something to lie about. It's helped him.
Lola said nothing and went back to her food.
"What kind of work does Uncle Demmy does?" Tito asked.
"He is a civil engineer. But he owns his own construction company," Lola answered the girl.
"Whoah!" The two girls exclaimed. And Lola just smiled.
They continued with their food. And when they were almost done, Tife broke the silence.
"Sis, will your... I mean Uncle Demmy be at home tomorrow?" Tife asked.
"Why do you ask?" Daniel asked.
"We want him to take us out, " Tito deadpanned.
"What?" Daniel exclaimed. Even Lola opened her eyes wide in shock.
"Take you out? To where?" Lola finally asked.
The girls shrugged. "Anywhere nice. I want to go somewhere nice, eat and take pictures on your big phone. He is rich isn't he?"
Daniel just laughed. He couldn't believe the girls.
"And how do you know that?"
"C'mon, brother Dan, we know that. We are not a baby. He even has a big fine car. So he can take us out."
"Yes. He is rich and he has a big car. And sister Lola said if she has a car and money, she is going to take us out regularly. So since her boyfriend has a car and money and we are here, we want him to take us out." Lola turned to look at her brother to know if she is not the only one that find what the girls were saying surprising. And fortunately, she wasn't the only one. Even Daniel was holding back his laughter.
"These girls are something else." He said laughing. And the girls smirked feeling proud of themselves.
"Then that means we are free to ask him, " they stated.
"No," Lola disagreed immediately.
"Why na?" they whined.
"Because Y has two branches and one tail. If I knock your head. Look at them feeling all big." She said and shakes her head.
The girls pouted and then Tito leaned toward her sister and whispered something in her ear. The other one giggled.
"And what's so funny?" Lola asked.
"Nothing," they retorted. Then they giggled again. Daniel just looked at them and then turned back to his food. He knew they were lying but he don't have time to argue with them.
