Lisa looked at the message she just sent, her face covered in black lines.

Why did she hesitate for so long and then end up sending such a dull message...

She really wanted to recall that text, but even if she did, the receiver would still get a notification that a message was recalled...

Why was Wechat so annoying. Since they were letting you recall a message, why couldn't they let you do it silently?

Just as she was grumbling about the inhumanity of WeChat, Jungkook's reply popped up.

Lisa was caught totally unprepared. What should she reply with?

As she was bewildered about what to do, Jungkook skillfully sent another message. "What have you been up to these two days? I saw that you didn't eat breakfast until after 8, so you're not filming anymore, right?"

Lisa laughed lightly when she read the message. Regardless of how her acting skills compared to Sowoon's, Sowoon was still the female lead. But she believed Jungkook's words as well.

She would get more work and things would develop in a good direction. As long as she continued to improve herself, she would find the right opportunity.

She'd always been an optimistic person.

As she was replying to Jungkook's message, her phone suddenly started ringing.

Lisa stared a bit blankly at the screen. After a moment, her mind was even more blank.

It was Jungkook calling.
She looked at the incoming call as if it were her enemy. After taking a deep breath and tidying her emotions, she picked up. "CEO Jeon?"

"Mm." It was the same beautiful and clear voice, but coming through the speaker, there seemed to be another charm added to it. "It's too much trouble to type, so I just called.

"...Oh," Lisa responded after several seconds.

The person on the other side of the phone seemed to have laughed. Then he said, "Isn't this our first time talking on the phone?"

"It is..." Lisa didn't even dare to breath too loudly, afraid that her breathing would give away how nervous she currently was.

"Feels pretty special," Jungkook said, his voice still carrying a smiling tone.

Lisa clutched her phone and sat up straight, her face slightly flushed. "CEO Jeon, are you very busy with work?"

"Mm, a bit." A rare hint of weariness came through in Jungkook's voice. "This client is a bit difficult, and the competitors have more leverage."

"Ah, then am I disturbing your rest?"

"It's fine." Jungkook laughed. "I feel very relaxed chatting with you."

Lisa, "..."
But she was so nervous she could die.

"I saw that you're eating breakfast well every day. Are you making them from the recipe I sent?"

"Yeah. I'm using the ingredients you gave me too."

Jungkook laughed. "What a good girl."

Those two words nearly caused Lisa's soul to fly up to the skies, especially because of that faintly discernible loving tone. It made each word weigh down on her like a meteorite.

"Each day is determined by your morning, so you've got to take breakfast seriously," he said.

"...Mm, CEO Jeon, you too. Don't skip meals because you're busy..." Lisa's mind hadn't recovered yet, so she could only respond automatically.

Jungkook replied, "It's late, so I won't bother you. Rest early. Goodnight."

"Goodnight."

When the sound on the other end cut off, she finally realized he'd hung up.

Good girl. Those words rang in her head like a magical tune. Maybe he'd just said it casually, without much meaning, but those words were really too intimate. Her heart was all confused.
