11: Trying to find Dart.

Start from the beginning

Max turned around, looking at the boy as if he had lobsters coming from his ears.

"What the hell are you doing?!?" Max exclaimed.

"...what are you doing?!?" Mike asked the girl, seeming confused before he got his bearings.

"Why are you in here?!" He snapped.

"I'm looking for dart!" She said defensively.

"This is the boys room!" Mike said.

"Yeah, so?" Max asked.

"So you should go home!" Mike yelled, throwing the mop down and storming out.

At this point, Max was about to burst, maybe even punch the boy in the face.

She walked quickly after him, all the way into the gym.

"Why do you hate me so much?!!" Max called after him.

"I don't hate you. How could I hate you? I barely even know you." The raven haired boy said, not bothering to look at her.

"Yeah, but you don't want me in your party!" Max yelled.

"Correct!" Mike spat.

"Why not?" Max asked, filled with anger.

Mike turned around to face her.

"Because you're annoying!" He shouted.

Max looked hurt at his words, but he only continued to yell.

"Besides, we don't need another party member. I'm our palladin, Will's our cleric, Lucas is our ranger, Dustin's our bard, Y/n's our Druid and El's our mage!!" Mike yelled.

"El? Who's El?" Max said, confusion coating her features.

"Someone... no one." Mike said, shaking his head.

"Someone or no one?" Max asked, her eyebrows raised.

"She was in our party a long time ago. She moved away, okay?" Mike said, coming up with the best lie he could so that he could drop the subject.

Max set down her board and began skating around him.

"She was a mage?" Max asked.

Mike looked down.

"Well, what could she do? Like, magic tricks or something?" Max asked.

Max hopped off the skateboard and stood in front of Mike.

"Well, I could be your zoomer." Max offered.

"That's not even a real thing." Mike said, rolling his eyes.

"It could be." Max said.

She got back on her board and began skating circles around Mike, who stood there in annoyance.

"See? Zoomer." Max said, her arms outstretched.

"Mind blowing." Mike deadpanned.

"Come on. You know you're impressed." Max said with a smirk.

"I don't see any tricks. You're just going around in a circle." Mike replied.

"If it's so easy, then you try it." Max said.

"No." Mike said, irritated.

"Why not?" Max asked.

"I don't know how." Mike said as if it was obvious.

"So, then you admit that it's kind of impressive." Max asked with a smirk.

"I think If I spent, like, all day practicing I could do that." Mike said.

"I would give you a million bucks if you could." Max said, continuing to skate around the boy.

"Okay, you're making me dizzy." Mike said.

Max ignored him.

"Please just stop." Mike said.

"I'll stop when I join your party." Max said. "A simple question. Am I in or out?"

Mike smiled at the girl.

All of a sudden, she was thrown from her board, landing on the gym floor with a grunt.

"Jesus! Are you alright?" Mike asked Max.

"Yeah. Yeah I think so." Max said, gripping her side.

Mike grabbed her hand and helped her up, but outside the door was Eleven. Watching the whole interaction, tears beginning to form in the corner of her eyes.

"What happened?" Mike asked as Max got to her feet.

"I don't know. It was like a magnet was pulling on my board." The red head said, confused.

"I know that sounds crazy." She added, shaking her head.

Mike's eyes widened.

He made a run for the gym doors that he had come in through.

It had to be her. It had to be.

His heart fell when he saw the empty hall.

The girl he had hoped to be there, no where to be seen.
