Your P.O.V

i rest my face in my palm, cross my legs and sigh

a similar looking demon sitting next to me looks at me annoyed "What is it this time (Y/N)"

i let out another dramatic sigh "It's nothing..."

the creature groans "You do this all the time, i know that it's not nothing"
"Let me guess, you're bored again"
Not gonna lie, he got it right

"Well obviously i am, since nothing is going on, ever. I thought that the afterlife would be more exciting than this" i let out a pout
"That is probably most likely why i died. I wanted to have unlimited fun but as it seems, we are stuck in a nowhere void kind of thing forever with nothing to do whatsoever"

"Most likely? You mean that you don't remember what your life was like?" they looked at me weird 
"Only the way i died and how it felt, that's it" i answered

"That's weird. Couz i remember being a handsome hunk of a man with ripped muscles, well payed job, a thick pretty wife and two sweet chi-" they began telling their story in a really cheerful voice before i cut them off

"Yet you still died choking on a rock, i know, i know. You totally didn't tell me that story like minion times" I waved my hand up and down 
They growled and took their eyes off of me

"... Still you might find out what your life was like if you actually try. Like you know, follow where your current memory leads you and then maybe remember stuff as you go on" they mumbled

"Oh shit that's a great idea!" i jolted up from my lazily made position
"I haven't been amongst the living since the time i really wanted mochi so i went out of my way to get it from a random restaurant. And damn it was like heaven..."

"How do you know what heaven is like, you've never been there..." the creature pointed out
"Doesn't matter! It was just the best, sweetest, softest and tastiest thing i've had in 143 years!" i cheerfully said out really loud

"i don't know why i'm surprised that you've been dead for this long" they sighed
"that is probably why you don't remember anything from when you were a mortal"

"Good point" i said and walked up to a pitch black liquid that went as a stream throughout the whole underworld
"Anyway, I'll see you again once i'll remember everything again. I'll miss you buddy"

"I can't return those feelings. Don't walk around in your demon form too much, it'll just make things harder for you" they waned me and went to sleep for some reason   

"Sure sure" i mumbled 
I toned down my abilities to be similar to humans
I cant make my horns tail and wings disappear fully, so i detracted my horns into little nubs that i hid in my (h/c) hair, also detracted my tail to be just a small nub and merged my wings into my back

it didn't look that weird once i put some village-folk clothes on 

I took in a breath of enthusiasm and jumped into the liquid

then it was dark for a few seconds until i saw myself on the ground surrounded by buildings
I'm probably in some kind of alley 

It also seemed to be in the middle of the day
The sun was shining, the air was nicely cool and people seemed busy by the overlapping voices everywhere

I got up and dusted myself off
So, where do i start...

I peaked my head out of the alley and looked around 
There were plenty of stands and traders standing around, people chatting and buying stuff, kids running around and random women giggling  
Not much change huh
