This bewilderment act feels more like a safety net than a game anymore and Marius finds himself agitated because of the realization.

"I'm sorry." Jimin mutters under his breath. He can't bring himself to meet Marius' stare. It's full of so many questions he doesn't know how to answer. "It's just important right now and I have to go."

Gripping their tongues and stopping time, a silence takes it's hold on them. Background noises filter through to cushion the blow of Marius' frustration fueled thought waves, laughter from children building sandcastles nearby working hard to cast out shadows of anger and doubt. It's never a good time for Jimin. He's busy, he works hard. He's not interested, he's bored. He wanted to live together. He'll never fall in love.

"No." Marius shakes his head, leaning back into his chair again. He crosses his arms over his chest and clenches his jaw, suddenly emitting the rage and resentment he's felt throughout his entire relationship with the other. The facade is cracking quickly in the midst of this discussion, if it could be called as such, and it's something like a last straw. Jimin owes him an explanation at the very least. All of the secrets and hushed emotions that he's met with understanding climbs up his throat like hot bile and he feels sick on the taste of regret in his mouth. If Jimin can leave such a milestone of a moment in their relationship this easily, what can't he do? "You have to leave because something came up right after we get here, you never explain a damn thing to me and can't even say you love me. What am I meant to believe is going on, Sweetheart?"

Backing into the sliding glass balcony door, Jimin winces at the tone of his boyfriends voice. Obviously he owes him an explanation, but it's not anything he can supply without bringing about only questions with damning responses. Why are you going to visit your ex boyfriend? Why is that more important than spending the weekend together, the one you agreed to? Why does he matter so much? He can hear them already ringing inside of his ears. All they lead to is the same dead end and Jimin only knows one way out of this.

"Answer me." Marius demands now, tone firm, but low and all too intentionally intimidating. Clearly playing Mr. Nice Guy hasn't heeded the best results.

"Let's break up."

But that wasn't what he expected to hear after putting his foot down to hopefully put a stop to all of their misunderstandings and short comings. It's gone on for much too long and he deserves some clarity. "Break up? For what, asking for honesty?"

Jimin catches his bottom lip between his teeth. The other hasn't done anything to deserve a standoffish response and it's wrong, so wrong, to end it all just like this. The hotel room, the ocean, the smell of salt on the air; it's so pleasant and inviting. Marius looks handsome in his white button up shirt and blue jeans. They compliment his blonde hair and blue eyes, accentuating his jawline and sharp nose. There's nothing wrong with Marius, but it's not enough because he's not Jungkook.

"I won't ask, Jimin. Just, please, don't break up with me." Pleads fill the growing space between them as Jimin turns to open the balcony door. Marius steps away from the table to follow the other, reaching out for him, long fingers grabbing skin. He squeezes, pulling Jimin closer toward himself and feeling panic rise in his chest. Even when the smaller yelps in his grasp Marius holds him, forcing their eyes to meet. "I know that you need your space. I don't want to intervene. I got carried away, but I trust you. I trust you."

"Marius, let go." Jimin demands, jerking his arm towards himself, but it stays where it is, fingers locked around muscle and squeezing hard. He glares at the other man and attempts to pull himself away only to feel nails digging deeper into his skin. "What's wrong with you? Let go of me!"

"Just stay." Marius breathes. He releases his grip on Jimin's arm, sliding his hands down to trap the mans wrists before he has a chance to get away. "Sorry. I'm sorry, but just stay tonight. Come on."

"No." Jimin bites back with venom. This behavior feels dangerous, desperate and sickening. He wrenches his wrists from Marius' hold and backs away from him, dodging another attempt of holding him in place. His skin is littered with goosebumps and his heart is thumping sporadically in his chest. "Why would you grab me that way?" Soft touches flood his conscious, memories of gentle caresses and comforting whispers. Intimacy and closeness felt like a drug, a necessity, some kind of healing experience. It never happened with Marius. He's never felt like he would die without his touch. "You can't- you can't grab me that way." His eyes flutter closed at the intrusion of rotten recollections now. Hands grabbing at his skin and pulling him close. The twisting in his stomach as he couldn't move, the way he wanted to puke because it made him feel so sick. His skin was sticky with his own sweat, or maybe the others too, and he felt like he would pass out. He wished that he would. That would have been easier to live with.

Marius drops his hands to his sides and creates a bit of space between himself and the smaller. He looks away from the unreadable expression on Jimin's face and down at his own red fingertips. How did he let himself lose control like this? He's been good for so long. "I-I'm so sorry, Jimin."

Regret swells in Jimin's throat. Marius has been really good to him. He can see the guilt troubling the expression of the other and he knows that it's got everything to do with his short comings. His short comings have everything to do with Jeon Jungkook.
