They went to a forest with full of apple trees

"Oh apples" Dorothy said "oh look"

Dorothy picked Grace up and she reaches to pick an apple from the apple tree, the tree grabs the apple and slaps her hand

"Ouch!" Grace cried

"What do you think you're doing?" the tree said

"We've been walking a long ways and I was hungry and... did you say something?" Grace said

"She was hungry!" the tree said

"She was hungry!" the other tree said

"Well, how would you like to have someone come along and pick something off of you? the tree said

"Oh, dear! I keep forgetting I'm not in Kansas!" Dorothy said

"And I'm definitely not in my world" Grace said

"Come along, Dorothy and Grace. You don't want any of those apples!" Scarecrow harrumphs

"Are you hinting my apples aren't what they ought to be?" the tree said

"Oh, no. It's just that they don't like little green worms!" Scarecrow harrumphs again

"Oh you" the tree said and he was attacking Dorothy and Grace while they scream, Scarecrow got the tree to let go of them

"I'll show how to get some apples" Scarecrow whispers and he made a funny face to mock them and it made the tree threw his apple at him and it made him fell down as the other trees threw their apples at them

" ,help yourself" Scarecrow said as Dorothy puts Grace down

As they were getting the apples, Grace crawled down to get some until she saw a metal foot, she knocked it, the ankle, as she got up and realized that it's the Tin Man

"It's the Tin Man" Grace said to herself "guys, I found a man made out of tin"

They saw it and they brush the leaves off of him and Tin Man muffled cause he is rusted

"Did you say something?" Dorothy asked

Tin Man muffled

"He said oil can!" Dorothy said

"Oil can what?" Scarecrow said

"Oil can" Grace said and they saw the oil can on a stump "here it is" and she took the oil can

"Where do you want to be oiled first?" Dorothy asked

Tin Man muffled

"He said his mouth" Scarecrow said as he takes the oil can and oiled his mouth and his left, he gives the oil can to Dorothy and she oiled his mouth and his right ear and Tin Man can finally speak

"My, thank goodness I can talk again" Tin Man relieved "my arms please, oh my elbows"

As they oil his arms and elbows Dorothy bend his arm down and she said "Oh, did that hurt?"

"No, it feels wonderful" Tin Man said "I've held that axe for ages"

"Goodness, how did you ever get like this?" Dorothy asked

"Well about a year ago, I was chopping that tree when suddenly it began to rain" Tin Man explains "and right in the middle of a chop I rusted solid and I've been that way ever since"

"Well you're perfect now" Dorothy said

"Perfect? Bang on my chest if you think I'm perfect" Tin Man said "go ahead bang on it"

Grace bangs it and it made an echo

"Beautiful! What an echo" Scarecrow said

"It's empty" Tin Man explains "the tinsmith forgot to give me a heart"

"No heart?" Dorothy, Grace and Scarecrow said

"No heart" Tin Man said "all hollow"

Then he sang "If Only I Had A Heart"

After that he tried to walk, but not quite, Grace oils his right knee and Scarecrow oils his left knee, Tin Man bow at them, he walked backwards and did a little dance

Then he was starting to fall but he didn't then the lean forward again and then he went backwards and landed on the log

"Are you alright?" Grace asked

"Afraid I'm a little rusty yet" Tin Man said

"Oh dear" Dorothy said as she puts the oil on his arm "that was wonderful"

Grace sat next him and said "you know, we were wondering like you couldn't come with us to Emerald City and asked the Wizard of Oz for a heart"

"Well suppose the Wizard wouldn't give me a heart when we got there" Tin Man said

"Oh but he will, he must" Dorothy said "we've come such a long way already"

As Tin Man started to speak, the Witch did her evil cackle and they saw her on top of a house, Grace got so scared that she ran to Scarecrow and he puts his arms around her for protection

"You call that long? Why you just begun" the Witch said "helping the little ladies along are you, my fine gentlemen? Well stay away from them or I'll stuff a mattress with you! And you, I'll make you into a beehive. Here Scarecrow, want to play ball?"

Then she threw a fireball to the ground, they freaked out then Tin Man used his helmet to put out the fire and they watch as the Witch vanishes into a fireball

"I'm not afraid of her! I'll see you girls get safely to the Wizard now, whether I get a brain or not. Stuff a mattress with me. Ha!" Scarecrow snaps

"I'll see you girls reach the Wizard, whether I get a heart or not. Beehive, bah! Let her try and make a beehive out of me!" Tin Man snaps

"Oh, you're the best friends anybody ever had. And it's funny, but I feel as if I'd known you all the time, but I couldn't have, could I?" Dorothy said

"I don't see how. You two weren't around when I was stuffed and sewn together, were you?" Scarecrow said

"And I was standing over there, rusting for the longest time" Tin Man said

"And I never saw you in front of my bedroom window at the orphanage" Grace said and Dorothy pets her head

"Still, I wish I could remember, but I guess it doesn't matter anyway. We know each other now, don't we?" Dorothy said

"That's right" Scarecrow said

"We do" Tin Man said

"To Oz?" Scarecrow asked

"To Oz" Tin Man and they were off
