"I won't let you fall. I mean it. You can hold onto me." Jeongguk says and Taehyung looks at him with narrowed eyes, trying to figure out what his words could actually mean. That if they mean something other than just holding him on the cliff.
"I know you don't trust me but you won't regret walking over there." Jeongguk says, holding out his hand again and Taehyung takes a deep breath, covers Jeongguk's palm gently with his own and lets his hand be engulfed in the warmth of Jeongguk's warm, rough yet soft hand.
Taehyung keeps looking at Jeongguk's face which illuminates first when they reach the edge, not completely on it but away for Taehyung's sake. Taehyung can tell its the city lights which he sees through Jeongguk's eyes for now, not looking down the cliff.
"I don't think you should be looking at me right now." Jeongguk utters but Taehyung doesn't budge for a moment and then blink away his eyes, darting his eyes towards the front.
The view makes him gasp for a moment, eyes widening with fascination at the sight. He feels Jeongguk move behind him, his hands firm on his waist now and breath tickling the side of his neck.
Taehyung feels his heart thudding violently in his chest and he doesn't know the reason.
If it's the magnificent Seoul city right under his feet as he looks over it or Jeongguk's hands on him or the cold wind that makes him shiver slightly or just that he's never felt any of this ever before.
Not the view, not someone holding him so he won't feel scared, not being able to feel the cold wind up so freely.
He takes in a shaky breath as he takes in the whole city, the magnificent river and it looks so beautiful.
"You should see the sunset from up here. It's way beautiful than Seoul at night is." Jeongguk speaks behind him, whispers the words in Taehyung's ear.
"This is what you rule huh?" Taehyung whispers, hears a soft chuckle behind him.
"More like, the hidden side of it. The upside down of Seoul." Jeongguk says. "The whole city that no one else sees or has any idea about what's happening right under their noses."
"There isn't any upside down Seoul. This is what it is, you've just made it into what you rule. May it be underground or on the surface. Both, what can be touched and what can be felt. It exists anyway." Taehyung utters.
"It's not easy though. To rule what can be touched; the buildings that include clubs, police stations, law firms, corrupt as hell as we talk. And what can't be touched but manipulated; morals, beliefs, love, hate, greed, emotions, tarnished and can be built too---the way---".
"Just the way you want. You can have your way no matter. You wouldn't care who gets hurt in the way as long as you're satisfied." Taehyung finishes his sentence and Jeongguk sighs.
"I won't say its not true, baby. I always want everything to be perfect in my way. I would do anything to not have any problems when it comes to my rule." Jeongguk utters.
Taehyung hums, rests his head back on Jeongguk's shoulder, surprising Jeongguk a little and the mafia boss then curls his arms around Taehyung's waist, nuzzling his neck.
"I'm sorry." Jeongguk whispers and Taehyung closes his eyes.
"Don't say that word to me. I hate it. I really hate it." Taehyung says, his voice a mere whisper.
"You know I did something like this to Namjoon hyung once." Jeongguk says. Taehyung tilts his head to look at Jeongguk, their close proximity made them whisper.
"It was when I had taken over after my father for just a year and I---situation happened. Kind of like right now and some of the valuable information got leaked, we almost lost one of our clubs." Jeongguk says, Taehyung keeps looking at him.
