Eloise huffed in annoyance as she and James walked around Hogsmeade together, while James walked proudly next to her with his head up high and the dangerously gorgeous smirk on his face.
"Why are you acting high and mighty," Eloise grumbled, staring at him in confusion.
"I get to hang out with you, what else?"She continued to stare at him confused, unbeknownst to her, Lily and Remus had made up an excuse so that Eloise and James could walk around together. A simple idea, that Eloise had idiotically walked into.
"What are you talking about? We hang out almost every day."James stared at her flabbergasted, almost offended by what she said. Eloise raised an eyebrow in questioning.
"Exactly, almost. I wanna hang out with you every day!"The girl stared at him in horror, but the growing blush deceived her true emotion.
"That would be torture, Potter."James pouted at her words, a slight sting at his heart that seemed to be beating a tad bit faster watching as the fluffy snow falls onto her hair.
"Oh it can't be--"
"Winters."
A deep ground voice silenced James, the duo turned around to see a tall but slim boy with platinum hair, staring at them as distaste and annoyance covered his face.
"Malfoy."Eloise stated as she narrowed her eyes at the boy.
"What do you want, Malfoy?"James asked with an annoyed tone, rolling his eyes at the pretentious foul standing in front of him acting high and mighty.
"Did you get my letter?"The boy questioned ignoring James in the process while glancing over his shoulder.
"What letter?"James butted in, flabbergasted at the sudden question. Glancing between the two, James' mind ran crazy with the thought of Eloise and Lucius Malfoy having some type of relationship.
"Mind your business, Potter. Haven't your mummy taught you not to interrupt an adult conversation?" Lucius said, mocking the boy with a sinister grin.
"I wouldn't talk if I were you, didn't your mum--"
"Enough."Eloise stopped James from continuing, although she wanted to hear him say it, she knew it wouldn't get either of them anywhere.
"I didn't get your letter, Malfoy. Leave me alone."Eloise stated, stepping forward a bit. James instinctively walked closer to her, in a way to put himself slightly in front of her just in case.
Lucius sneered at the two, noticing the action displayed in front of him. Eloise stared at him with annoyance and confusion, not aware of James' protective nature next to her.
"I'm surprised your little followers aren't with you,"Eloise stated, raising a brow at the blonde.
Lucius rolled his eyes and scoffed, annoyance written all over his pale face. The thought of his followers irritated him, he didn't like the thought of people being around him. His own family annoyed him, yet his life is what was on the line and if those idiotic peasants were the reason he was in power, then so be it.
