"I'm not deaf, Adebayo." He said to him. He knew what he was about to say that was why he wasn't giving him much attention.
He doesn't know why they won't let the matter be.
"She talked about Lawrence your father."
"That's not new," Demilade said.
Bayo huffed and he snatched the phone from Demilade hand away. The former looked at him, glaring.
"We need to talk about this," Bayo said as he dropped his phone beside him. Demilade folded his hand on his chest, nonchalant about what his friend is talking about.
"Demilade you can't keep being like this. Isn't it enough time that you let this thing go? Your mother wants the best for you. You have had enough time to think it over. Being this way won't help."
"I don't remember how talking about this will help me in any way. What's the point of all these discussions? I don't want to talk about him, I don't want to meet him. Is it so hard to understand? Just let this matter go. I already told grams that I am not talking about this again. And I hope you will respect my decision." He said with a tone of finality.
"I.." He was cut short by someone calling his name. And they turned to see Fareed and Charles approaching. Bayo looked at Demilade who was still frowning. "If you say so."
"Thank you." He said flatly.
And the two men approached them.
Bayo faced them. "Do you know how long we've been waiting here for you guys? And where is Adam?" Bayo asked angrily.
"Don't be angry na. No vex. We are here now."
"It doesn't justify the fact that we've been waiting here for long." Bayo huffed.
"We are sorry. Don't be angry." Charles begged. He turned to Demilade. "Are you also angry Demmy? This one wey your face strong."
"When you are ready, you will meet me inside," Demilade said rolling his eyes and he walked away without a backward glance.
"He don start that his mumu character," Fareed said. "Wetin' do Demmy?" He asked Bayo.
"Ask him when you go inside." Was his reply and Fareed rolled his eyes. "Let's go inside." And they nodded.
"How is Helen?"
"She is fine...."

"Hello. Good morning."
"Good morning Tiwalola. How are you doing?"
"I'm fine. And you?"
"We thank God. How are your family?"
"They are doing great. Thanks. And yours? How are Helen and Joan?"
"Joanne is fine, and so is her mother. Sorry that I am bothering you so early in the morning. I'm actually on my way to work, so I thought it is the best time that me call you." He explained.
"It is alright. You were not disturbing anything. I'm already awake."
"That's a relief." He said. "Hmm. Lola, will you be free today by noon?"
