He just nodded in reply.
"Ehm... Daddy..." He looked at her. "He suggested something that seems very reasonable to me."
"You mean Demilade?"
"Yes, dad. He talked about you establishing a business with the money. He felt guilty that you won't be working for him again and you might not get good pay in your next job. But aside from all that, I think he is right. It's time you stop working for someone. You should own your own business and have more time for yourself. "
"Didn't you plan on going back to school with the money? "
"Yes but..."
"Hope you aren't planning on relying on him because he is rich and he is now your boyfriend?
"No dad... "
"Better. You are still my daughter and you are my responsibility. And don't live yourself for a man. Your mother made that mistake. You should never do that. Even if you are married to the world's richest man, you should always have something doing anything can happen in seconds. No man wants a liability. "
"Dad, I've heard you." She said already getting tired of the lecture.
"You should. It's for your own good."
"Yes, I know. Thank you." She said half-heartedly. "But back to the matter, we can still have some money left for my schooling when you start a business. You can start from something."
"I will think about it. We will talk about it later." The man said.
"Okay, dad." Then she stands up. "Dad I want to go see IB. I will be back later."
The man nodded and she left the house.

Demilade and Bayo were together at the golf club they usually attend every month end. They were waiting for the rest of their friends.
They were talking about the new house Bayo was planning on building in his home state.
"Don't worry the blueprint will be ready by next week."
"I trust you." Bayo smiled. "Where are these guys na?" He complained looking at his wristwatch.
"It's because of the traffic," Demilade said defending them.
"What about Charles? His estate is just twenty minute drive to this place." Bayo said.
"We don't have any choice. We will have to wait for them." Demilade said bringing out his phone and he opened his audiobook, putting his AirPod in his ear at the same time.
"Don't tell me you want to start reading?" Bayo asked a bit exasperated.
He looked up at him giving him a quizzical stare. "Is there any crime in doing that?"
Bayo rolled his eyes. "So you will put that thing in your ear while I am here? Aren't you supposed to be trying Fareed and Adam's number?"
"Can't you do that?"
"I'm angry as it is, so no."
Demilade just shakes his head.
"There is no point in doing that. They will be here soon." He replied him.
There was silence in their midst for a moment before Bayo said.
"Demmy, your mom called me yesterday," Bayo said looking directly at Demilade. He didn't look up to acknowledge that he heard him.
"She does call you. Is there anything in that?" He said as he scrolled through his phone.
"Can you put that phone away and listen to me?"
