High, in the black night sky,
Over Iraq, Syria, Libya,
The fruits of man's achievements fly,
Raining death on those below,
Not knowing whether
They destroy,
The guilty,
Or the innocent;
Oblivious to the cries
Of children left alive.
Amid the beauty of Africa,
Swarm Boko Haram,
Indiscriminately slaughtering
Those who fail to embrace
Their perverted views.
Using rape, and kidnap
To further their cause,
And force their will
Upon
Their fellow man.
In the Ukraine
Putin
Eyes the main chance,
And smiles,
While western politicians
Dance,
Frantically,
Searching for yet
Another fence
To perch upon.
Throughout this mayhem,
Gaza
Fades
Into ignominious
History.
So, my question is this:
If man is forged in the image of God,
Is he, or she
As perverse,
As we ???????
