Chapter 46 - Surprise~

Start from the beginning

George breathed out heavily, trying to regain his breath as he let out exasperated gasps, happiness was evident in his face, and Dream couldn't help but laugh along. George's laugh was just contagious like that, and despite Sapnap and Quackity weakly trying their hardest to sing in the back, George looked at Dream raising an eyebrow.

"What?"

Questioning why Dream had laughed.

"Nothing."

Dream tried to bring his poker face out but seeing George stare at him from the corner of his eyes, he couldn't help but blush.

"No, tell me."

He tugged at their intertwined hands and Dream looked at him, his lips compressed tightly to hold down his stupid smile.

"It's just, you look adorable."

George blinked hard, a pout forming on his face as he tried to process it. It was certainly out of the blue, and George never really handled compliments that sounded so sincere to the point where George just might return it. He looked away quickly and bit the inside of his cheek, trying to hold down his smile and not let Dream have the satisfaction of seeing him flustered.

"What? Look at me~"

This time, Dream tugged at their hands, his other hand loosely on the stirring wheel as they had to drive in a straight line without any other car in sight, George finally turned to him, his hands covering his face as he failed to compose himself.

"You look so cute when you try not to."

"Shut up."

George replied, bringing his legs up and curling into a ball as Dream continued to talk, him going back to focusing up ahead.

"Why? It's true, no? You're fucking beautiful."

He hushed, and his voice went soft as he breathed it out. Thankful for his friends that were near to passing out from exuding so much energy.

"Stop that."

"Stop what, hmm?"

Dream asked, a hint of cockiness in his voice.

"You're... being annoying."

He managed to say, covering his face completely and pulling his sweater up to hide his obvious flushed face.

"Come on, you love it."

"No, I don't."

George replied, his head fully immersed in his loose large shirt and only the top of his hair sticking out.

"Really? You don't like it when I compliment you? Don't you like it when I praise you?"

Dream teased, smirking and throwing a slight glance at George who only sent him very threatening vibes, but it was difficult to take him serious when he looked like a Teletubby, all bunched up in his shirt.

"You know, you get really annoying, I wish they would shut you up already."

George sent a snarky comment, obviously referring to his friends in the back who had passed out unknowingly. Dream turned the volume down slightly and chuckled.

"No, you don't. You say that, but you love it, don't you?"

"Stop it..."

George whined some more, shrinking further on the seat and tugging at his hand, his voice was weak and he couldn't hold his smile in.
