Part 2 - karaoke

After finishing her revision Evie FaceTimed her best friend Ava. They had been besties since the first day of reception and their friendship had blossomed ever since. Despite the fact they had seen each other mere hours ago at school they had plenty to talk about. Her Mum had kindly brought her and Tom McDonald's as a Friday night treat and knowing both her children were busy, brought the food up to them.

"Hello Mrs Simmons!" Ava called out. "Hello girls" Evie's Mum replied, "here's your food." Evie had a simple taste In food. Some may say she was an extremely fussy eater but in her opinion she was just selective. Her McDonalds order consisted of 6 chicken nuggets and chips and a chocolate milkshake. Her family had constant friendly arguments about what the superior McDonald's order was , Tom going for a hamburger, chips and a coke and her Dad swearing on a sweet chilli wrap.

Tommy's room
*knock knock*
"Mum, I'm streaming don't come in please." Tommy called. "I'm leaving your McDonald's outside"she called out and slipped away. She had resolved not to be on camera since day 1. She fully supported the dream of her son but wanted nothing to do with it. If he had any concerns he would bring them up with his Dad if they were technical or his sister if they were more emotional. She loved the fact that her children had a great relationship, even though their personalities often clashed into escalating arguments!
"Thank you!" She heard Tom shout down and she shared a small smile with herself in the mirror.

Evie's Room
A few of her other friends that she had known since she was young joined the call and they just relaxed and gossiped. Topics ranged from school and homework to boys they liked and a game of who's most likely to involving questions like ; who's most likely to become a porn star and who's most likely to have a one night stand( even though they were 15 and nothing serious was gonna happen 🤣).They were all great friends and good gossip and be totally honest to each other. Unlike her brothers troubled relationship with the opposite gender, Evie had had many a relationship with boys and enjoyed their company, however she had never had anything serious. They often saw her as a dumb blonde or a prize to be won instead of a human being. She wasn't popular in her year but she was well known and always had someone to laugh and talk with.

They started karaoke and were belting their hearts out to old songs like Baby by Justin Beiber and anything Taylor Swift as that was their friendship groups favourite artist! You start with Single Ladies by Beyoncé and they were having fun singing their hearts out (you can watch the songs down below if u feel in the mood or just skip ). Evie had propped up her phone on her desk and were dancing along in time with the song and all her friends

They then finished the song and started listening to We Are Never Getting Back Together by Taylor swift

The girls were belting out these songs cause Evie had dumped a boy just that day for continually making excuses about why he never spent any time with her out of school or even messaged much. She felt she was being used as a trophy in school and didn't like it. She was letting her heart out and it felt good to bot have a care in the world.

Evie was very good at singing and it was one of her hobbies. At age 8 she had been in Matilda the West End musical as Matilda and had loved every minute of it. During the show she had spent time away from home staying with a host family with other members of the cast and it had really boosted her confidence. Her parents had always supported her through her passion and she felt pleased that Her brother Tom had got his own thing now and was Streaming and being a YouTuber.
