Forgetting

The kids were running around like mad people. They jumped over chairs and climbed on shelves and everything wild. These children were meant to be a part of the royal family, they sure didn't act like it.

I sit down on one of the long, red chairs and put my hands on my lap. The room seemed to go quiet as my mother and William walked into the room with fancy clothes on and with three other people - Lara and two other people.

"Oh my sweet (Y/n)!" My mother calls out. "You look absolutely stunning." She sits next to me and puts her hands around my face.

"You surely look stunning." William says. "You really look like you are a part of our family now."

"Who are those people?" I ask about the two other people that came in with them.

"That is the Sister and Father of the higher church." William explains.

The Father had a white robe on which had golden edges and the Sister wore a white gown with a white head piece.

"Church? Isn't that a place where they worship something?" I ask.

"God Almighty is our one and true saviour. Come to the church with us soon. We can tell you everything you need to know about our Lord." The man tells me as he leans towards me.

"Yeah... soon." I lean away from him.

"Can we go now?" I hear Monika ask in a desperate tone.

"Yeah! We are going to be late!" Hans yells.

"I'm ready to go. Shall we?" I ask as I stand up and make my way to the door.

"Are you not going to eat anything?" Kazue asks.

"I'm fine. Let's go." I answer.

"Sister. Father. Could you please stay and watch the house for us while we are away?" My mother asks them.

"Don't worry. We will." The Sister replies.

I walk out the door with the other children following me. Binsa and Noah followed a bit more behind than the rest but I didn't care.

"How old are you?" Andrea asks me.

"Are you really going to be spending the rest of your life with us as queen?!" Andrei walks backwards in-front of me.

"When you're queen, can you let us leave school early?" Hans begs.

"No! When you are queen, can you give us unlimited chocolate and sweets?" Monika suggests.

"No! Let us leave school early!" Hans argues back.

I don't answer any of their question but I do keep walking forwards down the hall. I accidentally bump into Andreo who was lifting his arms up in the air to signal he wanted to be lifted up. I step back and place my hands underneath his arms and I lift him up. His legs wrapped around me and so did his arms. I placed one of my arms on his back for support. He leans his head against my shoulder and he stayed really quiet which was quite relaxing.

We made it outside and there were three carriages waiting for us. I entered one with Kazue, William, Noah and Binsa. It was pretty small but it wasn't anything unbearable.

The carriage starts to move away from the mansion and we make our way to the ocean. Thankfully, I was next to a window so I got to see as we passed people, children, shops and many other things. I lean my head against the window and just stare.

I couldn't stop thinking of what Porco had done a couple days before, but I couldn't do anything about it anyways. I could redraw everyone but at this time I would've probably forgotten the little details on their faces. How tall they were to each other. How they all smiled. I didn't want to get it wrong or miss any of that but it was too late. I just let myself slowly forget their faces since I was going to spend my life in Marley.
